Did you forget that not everyone is a politician? Your reason for not having a political view makes absolutely no sense. There are average people, like those who voted in this thread, who aren't politicians but have political views none the less.

Diophage

Did you forget that not everyone gives two ***** about politics?

It's just a **** measuring contest to see what side is "better"

Can't say not giving a **** about politics is a good idea. One way or another, politics are a huge part of every day life, and if you aren't aware of what's going on, you may find yourself in an undesirable position.

Not caring about politics isn't as bad an idea as everyone makes it out to be. There is an incredibly insignificant difference between candidates.

Libertarian. The personal rules I give to myself are conservative however. So I guess I lean conservative? I don't know though I don't let my personal beliefs interfere with my political beliefs.

There's much more to politics than presidential candidates.

I didn't say anything about presidential candidates, I said candidates in general. Senate candidates, House of Representative candidates, Mayoral candidates. They're all the same. Leaning to one side or another on them is point. The only thing worth keeping up with in politics is the **** they're trying to pass. Things like SOPA need to be shot down. Who you elect in such a case doesn't matter, you just have to make yourself heard to them.

I have to go with X-Wing

Though being serious, I really don't have a political view cause they all may preach different ideas but in the end it's all the same, they care about themselves and money.

I never understood people who said things like this. Sure, you don't have to be closely watching very single debate during a campaign, but you should at least be aware of what's going on, because it affects you so greatly.

lol @ TC making Right Wing sound worse than left in his OP (shouldn't let ones personal opinion be in ones TC in threads like this, Or atleast thats my belief.), plus useless defenition of Capitalism.

I'm Center Right. Which Is by Canadian Standards a farther Right Wing, but moderate by American Standards. Also I'm a Libertarian.

In political topics asking you which side you are on shouldn't really have opinions in the opening comment.

is that a question lacking a question mark or a statement? :P If its a question, im just of the belief that a political thread shouldn't have a tc's opinion in the OP, as I know alot of politcal Braindeads IRL that only pick the opinion of whatevers in front of them.

Neutral. I don't have immense knowledge on politics or issues at hand. If I do make a statement, the only thing I can back it up with is my personal opinion and not facts. So I'm not a debater either you could say.

I clearly know whats going on and it's a bunch of finger pointing on who ***** up. You see people blaming Obama,Bush, high class society, the government and even each other. No one wants to take the ****** blame on whats happening and thats politics in a nutshell.

I tend to favor "conservative" fiscal and economic policies coupled with "liberal" policies on social issues and prefer a less interventionist gov't w. respect to foreign policy.

I suppose I am a half-assed libertarian with a pragmatic streak.

On a serious note, I'm somewhat to the left of the centre and apparently lean towards libertarianism, but I find myself disagreeing with a good number of libertarian views. There are aspects of both socialism and capitalism that appeal to me.

I don't think you're definition is necessarily true. There are other factors that determine right or left wing. Such as religious devotion, right wing authoritarianism, e.g., facism... anyway, I like to think of myself as center. I try to be as center as possible anyway. Others probably say I'm left of center.Franklinstein
I just wrote the basic premise, of course there are many more factors in play so It will be too time-consuming and boring for me to write them all.

I am center left

socailly liberal

fiscally conservative

Whether the government is large or small, i do not care, so long as budget is balanced and the government isn't running absurd long term defecits.

In other words. the Indepedent Party of Minnesota's platform.

if I had to pick , centre-right, but really Im quite the pragmatist, and will vote for any party, left wing ones included, if I feel they have the best solution to whatever issue is important.

Im also a realist, I believe that sadly, the world's diplomacy and relations are very chaotic and lack coherency, ie, international organisations mean little.

I'm not usually one to complain, but how many times are people going to make this thread? The mods should make a political views sticky.

Anyway, I'm economically and socially a leftist while my foreign policy/defense views tend to be a bit more to the right than my other views. I'm pretty close to the President on foreign policy/defense, tho we have differences on some things.

hmm i always figured he switched sides after he gave up Communism/Far Left political ideology. Not to say he didn't merely temper his politics, just that i always got the sense that he was with the right.

I remember watching an interview with one of his friends who said that he actually never changed he's ideology but rather people did not know the full extent of his political view. The only thing that I know about his which can be considered as right wing is his support for the war with Argentina over the Falklands, and the war of Iraq.

Same. It's difficult for me to pin-point my political opinions down to one specific view because I'm far more liberal than conservative on some subjects and vice versa.

I'm generally more conservative but I don't consider myself an extreamist and I don't consider myself a Republican. I did find your OP to be a little misinformed and it made some broad deneralisations about people, conservaitves for isntance (I'm talking about myself here mind you) don't hate poor people, we want to help them but we think that helping businesses will create more jobs so these companies can higher more people and we want to lower taxes so poor people could keep more of their paychekcs along with everyone else.

It's flawed yes but every man made idealogy is just like liberal. But it's better to try and understand the other side, you don't have to agree with it, but conseravtives arn't evil bad people. And neither are liberals.
