In gradeschool our teacher was like "Don't buy them, they work because of the devil, you are toying with Satan if you play around with one." and my friend was like "I played with one, lol, it was fun."
I read in a book that writing appeared on someones wall and they couldn't erase it and started panicking so I don't think I'm going to mess with on, at least not by myself.
One of my teachers told me that she demonstrated how to use a ouija board for a speech once, and she ended up with a lot of parents pissed off at her. Apparantly people actually thought (and still do) that it's the work of some "unknown force."
Never used one myself, but if I ever get the chance I'd be willing to mess around with it just for laughs.
I am the least superstitous person in this forum and I don't beleive in ghosts.
But I won't touch a ouija board or go anywhere near one. Maybe it has to do with me being Catholic.
The movie 'The Exorcist' was supposedly taken, somewhat, from a true story. And the trouble started with a ouija board.
I remember the first time I heard about them, I thought they were called Luigi Boards.rb2610
I got one at a tag sale for free and played around with it along with a few friends. It was strange, it actually got most of the answers we asked it correct. (Answers none of the people playing actually knew at the time)
However, if it was truly dangerous and a manisfestation of the devil I don't think Milton Bradly would sell it in toys-r-us.
yes i have. listen to me. if you get 6 and then another 6 you need to stop immediately. it's happened to me and a friend before. dissonantblack
Because you're afraid of getting 666? Didn't you know that manuscripts dated earlier than the previous ones have been found which show that it's actually 616.

is so clearly fake im surprised anyone believes it
if the dead were trying to contact us they would obviously find more practical solutions.
i mean they cant be retarded
You shouldn't be afraid of the number 666. It really isn't significant, more of a superstition. It is believed to be a representation of the Roman Emperor Nero.
As someone else here said, it was discovered that 616 was the real "number of the beast."
Just some historical trivia for early-morning OT! *thumbs up*
Regardless, if the devil had the intention of possesing you, after all these years I'm sure he would have developed more efficient ways than through a Parker Brothers Game Board.
RELEVANT STORY:
When my brother and his girlfriend were living together with other university roommates, my brother suddenly woke up during the nigh and immediately grabbed his girlfriend telling her that they should run out. Despite my brother not having given her a real reason other than a weird feeling in the room and the room going cold, they drove to her house which is about 1 hour away. The next morning they drove back to their house with their roommates and asked if anyone there felt anything weird during the night. The roommates all answered no but that one of the girl roommate's boyfriend was playing around with a ouija board.
That was what my brother told me and he's not one to lie. Im not sure if its true myself but I know that I wouldn't mess around with that type of stuff.
i dont know what it is... i can tell you for sure its not fake...people who are saying its fake probably never used one......i dont mess with them anymore...bsman00

What is ouija?69ANT69
a board w/ letters and symbols on it. People gather around it and place their fingers on a sliding piece of wood. They all move it around and it spells things depending on the sense of humor of the people involved. People spell things like D-I-E or 6-6-6 to freak other people out. It's funny, actually.
True Story (not really): One day, when I flipped on the TV I saw that House was on. I said OMG and asked my bro what had happened. he said that he had been playing Ouija that morning and had spelled out H-O-U-S-E.... WEIRD! :O
