Which one is the best? Treasure Island, Robin Hood, or Lord of the Flies. My English teacher gave me a list of books that I should read, and these three appeal to me. I will probably read all three eventually, but could you tell me which book I should read first? (a.k.a. the best one)

Of those I've only read The Lord Of The Flies. It's a really great book.

I like Treasure Island the best of those choices. I didn't like Lord of the Flies that much.

I have not read Robin Hood, but Lord of the Flies is amazing, and is definitely better than Treasure Island.

Robin Hood.

Treasure Island is pretty cool too. Lord Of The Flies is one of those books/movies that TRIES TO OPEN OUR EYES!!!, it's nothing special. Maybe purists and optimists find it great because of the idea. But as a social commentary it's extremely weak, and it's not that great as an adventure either.

I think your teacher wanted you to simply read an adventure book, without further meanings. I would've replaced Lord Of The Flies with Jules Verne's Mysterious Island

I didn't really like Lord of the Flies...Though, I suspect it's because I read it for school, and I tend not to enjoy books when I'm forced to read them.
