Maybe you just didnt give the film a chance. It has one of the best narratives and stories ever written in a film. I could go on for a long time as ive written papers on the movie for film studies but all im saying is that maybe you should watch it again.

Either that or your one of those people that are like "OMG this is boring, its just talking blah bla blah"

These topics are getting as "bad" as religious ones. I think I've seen this same type of topic countless number of times now, and they always come out with the same answers. The biggest problem here is, what one person thinks is overrated, another will think it isn't. But, that's just my opinion.

No movies can be called overrated overall. Somebody may call a movie overrated while another person may disgree. Its all opinion, none of it is fact in any way so why ask the question?Film-Guy

Hmm... maybe you're right. I never really payed attention to the movie, I just watched it while doing something else and I didn't really like what I saw.

I'll give it another chance.

redeeming qualities? Sure harry isnt exacly a pure cop but hes a kick ass character. The way he almost tortures the Scorpio killer is twisted but awesome and how the Scorpio killer isnt an immortal killer but a regular guy who happens to be a killer. The bus scene where the killer freaks out the kids by making them sing was pretty messed up and it had one of the best one liners ever. Also how is the nudity pointless? Its nudity enjoy it dont complain about it!

Hmm I would suppose your right...but then I enjoy Dirty Harry for being a brainless action flick...and that's what I get :)

this guy thinks that all the good qualities of the dirty harry series suck, no wonder he doesn't like it.Dirty Harry acts this way cause he's badass.There is nudity cause there is nudity in real life,and cause its a dirty harry movie.There isn't much more to say,you either like it or you don't(however most peole like it:))
