It is standard fare here on OT to vilify the police for 30 seconds of a video that only shows what people are wanting to convey instead of actually telling the whole story. They even go as far as to discount news reports after the fact that does not follow their misguided beliefs as to what happened even if that belief is wrong.

A snarling dog, brandinshing it's teeth is most certainly threatening and dogs just do not walk up to someone they are snarling at and urniate on a leg, they bite. That alone is enough to warrant stronger action than using something other than a baton or pepper spray. Either way, if a dog was tased or shot, this forum would still have jumped to conclusions as the person who created this thread did when he named it "owner gets arrested for filming cops and cop kills his dog." This backs up what I said about OT and their jumping to conclusions without the facts.

Lol. What everyone arguing. Anyway, on topic. I'm pretty comfortable with not and ever clicking that link. I have dogs and seeing one get shot down is the last thing I want to watch. Reading the comments though, it sounds like a sad fvcked up thing and it already ruined my day.

Sucks that the dog died when it was just protecting its owner, especially since the whole situation could have easily been avoided..

Shooting it was definitely excessive, dogs aren't hard to restrain, even larger breeds like rottweilers can be handled by one person of average strength.

On the other hand, when you have a large aggressive animal, safety first and whatnot, better to kill it rather than risk someone getting mauled.

cops shouldn't have arrested anyone for filming them in public. they should have had the area secured, and there should be other ways of dealling with pets than unloading on him with all the people around anyway...

I watched that episode and the interviewed a doctor about it. While they could not prove it could not happen, they didn't say it can't happen due to evidence of it happening, hence it being plausible. I posted two links showing it has. That 4 year old boy lived about 30 miles from where I do and I remember it from the news. 

Episode 50: Bullets Fired Up shows that that myth received all three, but it all depends on how the bullet is fired.
