Anyone ever hear of or use Pandora radio? I've been using it for the past couple of days and it's given me about 4 new bands I like. How it works is by "analyzing" the music you enter, it will find songs that have a similar bass line, vocals, etc. I find myself liking all the songs they suggest. Another thing that I notice is that Last.fm is soo slow. My music always jerks if compared to Pandora. I'm sticking to Pandora then

Last fm >>>>> Pandora. Even Myspace is better. Just look at a bands' top friends and they usually have some similar sounding bands.

True Last.fm as some server issues. Half the time I can't get it to play. Although I do like the profiles you can make and it keeping track of what you listen to in ITunes.

Keeping the track is good to show them off to your friends :P. But if I wanted to do just that you can use iLike.

Yeah it was temporary, it got removed because it violated internet rights or something

Actually, in Canada the reason is that the US put taxes and restrictions on the site such that they could no longer afford to offer the service to Canadians, so they cancelled it. They used to have it in Canada a few years ago, though. Oh how I miss those days. :(

oh :( that sucks. america sucks with their whole "intellectual property" laws
I tried it. It doesn't match me up with the kind of music I want. It basically selects bands that are considered to be in the same genre as the band you put in, even if the musical style is totally different.

Ditto :( But, sinca we're no longer allowed over at Pandora I have been using Musicovery. It's not 100% the same, but I really love it's interface. If you're banned from Pandora, I highly suggest it! *^_^*

Ditto :( I used to use it a lot, but since we're no longer allowed over at Pandora I have been using Musicovery. It's not 100% the same, but I really love it's interface. If you're banned from Pandora, I highly suggest it! *^_^*
