People just automatically hate on Disney just to look cool.

People go up on IMDB and bash the movies like Hannah Montana and Princess Protection Program. Hannah Montana a 3/10? I liked Hannah Montana and I'm going to watch PPP. They even only gave Camp Rock 5/10. They gave the Jonas Brothers movie a 1/10 and it's not even a real movie. It's a concert. You either like the Jonas Bros. or not and if you don't then don't see them. Yes, I went to look at the ratings just to see what they'd be since I know all these "cool" people and "real men" hate on it.

Yes, a major reason I'm into the Disney channel is because of the girls. I'm not gonna lie. I like the shows and movies but I really like the girls. Don't confuse this as a "hot chick" topic, though..:roll:

Anyway, I don't like all that disney crap at all, because I don't. Why must you assume people hate on it because they want to look cool? Ever heard of an opinion?

IDK about the Jonas brother movie/concert, but the majority of those movies are bad because they lack a decent plot, bad acting, and they are marketed for children. little jimmy isnt gonna go to IMDB, and give it a review, but the parent who had to sit through the film sure will. The review is accurate for the age group that actually visits the site.

I don't think the bashers do it to "look cool". They post their opinions about said disney movie and thats that. What one person sees as quality is absolute garbage to someone else, and that's not just with disney movies, that's with any given thing out there.

Wel i havnt seen them but can you really say that those movies have depth, well thought out plots and challenge you view of the world.

Disney is no more than an awful, rotting shell of what it once was. The Disney Channel is particularly sickening, what with the plethora of terrible teen actors on screen 24/7...

It's easy to hate on disney. Just look at the shows they have on, garbage.

Well I like pretty girls and I do think the shows are funny as well. I don't laugh at every little thing the laugh track plays for in the shows but I do enjoy them.

I don't want to be seen as stupid, a baby, a loser, [...] (rhymes with "pay"), etc. This world is based around what's "cool" and "manly" and what isn't. Just how I was talking about "man card" and "man points". I mean everyone has their own likes and dislikes but if it's not the "correct" ones then you aren't a "real man".

Old Disney movies were the best, now its been reduced to garbage, it deserves to be hated. You hardly ever see a reference to the old Disney on that channel anymore...

People don't like Disney because of what it's become. They used to create top quality animated movies, which I still enjoy to this day. But they moved on to back their various teen stars, and for one reason, it sells.

I'm sure if Walt Disney was around today he would loathe what his creation has become. All these new shows and movies are lacking a solid plot, character development, good cinematography, and decent acting. They're devoid of the "magic" that Walt Disney's creations had. It's tough not to accept this, but if you can't then don't scold those of us who do.

I'm sure most of us don't watch that stuff just to see popstars Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and whatever that other girl's name is (Demi something).

And you care what other people think... why? I can tell you most of my friends probably think death metal is complete trash, but it doesn't stop me listening to and enjoying it. :)

All you have to do is watch Disney's older animated films --from Snow White to The Lion King-- to realize that Disney used to be a symbol for excellent entertainment. Watching films like Sleeping Beauty, you can see and hear the painstaking work that the animators and composers put into their product. The Disney of today is a sham. All they've been doing for the past few years is making poorly written and unoriginal sitcoms and made-for-t.v. movies starring their carbon copy teen actors and pop stars. TC, whether you're willing to admit it or not, the Disney of today is nothing compared to the Disney of yester-year. My only hope is that the upcoming Frog Princess film brings Disney back to what it once was, if only for a short time.
