You can't argue "I was hungry" because in America everyone is fat, and there's a fast food joint and walmart in every corner.FightingfanYou do realize that for places like large sections of Alaska, that isn't even close to true, right?
You do realize that for places like large sections of Alaska, that isn't even close to true, right? Generally the Native American people have a difference approach about life, it's more philosophical(tao-istic). I doubt they kill for fun, there's actual justification in their actions. But for your average camo wearing Caucasian man living in the south - just no.[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]You can't argue "I was hungry" because in America everyone is fat, and there's a fast food joint and walmart in every corner.OrkHammer007

Hunting with camo and a firearm is no challenge at all. To really get on the animals level, you have to strip down, smear yourself with mud and pinecones, and hunt with your bare hands.
Disgusting how so many people value animals over humansBucked20I value society first, society involves pets and animals to a great extent. If I see someone torturing animals for pleasure, that is a VEEEERRY big indicator that they will do more of it, or start to go down a slippery slope of deviant activity which hinders society which therefore hurts more people and animals.

[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]That's how I feel about hunters. The act of killing for fun sounds psychotic to me. Fightingfan
Hunters usually eat what they kill, it's not just for mindless fun. I'd agree with you if you were talking about bull fighting for example.
Well, simply eating your pray doesn't justify it in my book. They eat the bull after killing it by swords, though barbaric and cruel - it's a cultural tradition.
I could maybe give bullfighting a pass, but too urban rednecks going out in the woods for the sake of killing something just doesn't get a pass in my book.
You can't argue "I was hungry" because in America everyone is fat, and there's a fast food joint and walmart in every corner.
You're confusing things. There's nothing wrong in killing an animal to eat it, that's how life works. What is wrong IMO is to torture an animal, regardless if you'll kill it and eat it in the end. Hence why I'm against bullfighting. I live in a country where bullfighting is "culture", by the way.
And before some idiot comes here and says that some animals also kill for fun, we supposedly have a much more advanced intelect, we shouldn't be doing that sort of stuff. Some animals also eat their own feaces, we don't do that (I hope).

So buying a burger, made out of a dead cow, is more morally justifiable than killing an animal yourself and eat it? Makes no sense. Unless you're talking about endangered species.
Disgusting how so many people value animals over humansBucked20Yeah cause its totally obvs humans are more important. how selfish are you Buckethead?

we can just hope their genetic lines evolve some generation further down the line, or die off soon. they're obviously too stupid to think past: "i want to do it so it's not wrong"Disgusting how so many people value animals over humansBucked20
It makes me sad and angry when cute things die.
Disgusting how so many people value animals over humansBucked20Valuing animals in any way != valuing them over humans (although I'd hold the life of a cow as far more valuable than that of a heroin addict).
[QUOTE="charlesdarwin55"]I'm sorry that you're upset, what seems to be the issue? Your trolling. I thought I made that clear in the first sentence of my post. Tbf, you're not as bad as bucked.thegerg and bucked are good trolls I must admit. They both make me genuinely upset.

Its inhumane and just terrible. But how about you start paying that attention to videos with far worse savage and inhumane acts done to your fellow humans...GazaAliHumans aren't cute and cuddly, thus I don't care about them.
[QUOTE="charlesdarwin55"]Are u serious,im trolling cause I find it pathetic that people value animals over humans. Who here ever said that they value animals over humans? Implying that we're fine with this happening to humans
Last I checked the topic was about innocent puppies being tortured. Personally I can't stand to see any innocent thing being torture for pleasure.

*years. maybe *decades. They should be fined for cruelty towards animals or even jail for couple of days :P

You have yet to explain why harvesting your own meat is somehow inferior or less morally justifiable than paying someone ele to do it for you.thegergyou have yet to read what i've previously stated. if there is already an animal slaughtered and waiting to be bought, you killing another instead of purchasing one of these just means that another has died and one of these already slaughtered will be wasted. you have no clue how much meat is wasted everyday in every grocery store. when i went in at night to work at least two rubbermaid garbage bins full of unpurchased meat ready for disposal and much more on the shelves waiting to be pulled. i never said our current system is humane or superior but you will still be wasting meat already prepared and that is our current situation. you can keep thinking whatever the hell you want, and you can keep killing whatever the hell you want. we'll just hope karma does exist and your just deserves may be stacking up. and people's intelligence deserves insulting if they are too selfish to think past their own wants and needs, ie: "i want to do it, so it's not wrong". if religion's archaic ideas are true; god's spoiled little brats, whether ignorant or selfish, hopefully have a nice "warm" place waiting for them.
Why is killing a wild animal to harvest its meat more rape-like than doing the same to a farm-raised animal?thegergyou guys dont read these statements you're commenting on, do you? the only reason people feel the need to hunt is because of some past instinctual urge to kill, they do not "need" this meat and are doing nothing with the hides but maybe hanging them on a wall to show how redneck they are. finish your reading before commenting.
If someone killed them I wouldn't feel bad that's for sure. No reason to keep future serial killers around.
You have yet to explain why harvesting your own meat is somehow inferior or less morally justifiable than paying someone ele to do it for you.thegergSort of reminds me of the hitman scenario. You want a dude dead, so you can kill him yourself or hire a hitman. Well, personally, I'd prefer that you (the general you, not you personally) change your mind and don't kill the dude at all. But if you ARE gonna kill the dude, then hiring a hitman doesn't make it better than pulling the trigger yourself. You're still a f***ing murderer. The dude who hires a hitman to shoot people in the face is in no position whatsoever to act superior to the guy who personally shoots people in the face.
Yeah i agreeIf someone killed them I wouldn't feel bad that's for sure. No reason to keep future serial killers around.

I'm okay with hunting as long as the animal doesn't suffer and if it's not an endangered species. Even if the hunters don't eat the hunted animal, the carcass is still put to use by way of becoming fertilizer for the earth or food for scavengers. Unfortunately there do exist hunters (mainly rich CEOs) who hunt endangered species like black rhinos and cheetahs for fun. Those people are scum for ruining it for the others. Whoever said that you should only hunt with your bare hands or with a knife is the biggest idiot I've ever seen or some kind of super being able to instantly kill an animal with the most rudimentary means.
In terms of the OP, those people who torture animals and post vids of them should be locked up away for good. That's how serial killers start out so yeah, throw away the key.
I don't think hunters somehow helps the cycle of nature by hunting and not eating it. What they did is bad enough in itself regardless of if they turn out as serial killers.I'm okay with hunting as long as the animal doesn't suffer and if it's not an endangered species. That's fine too. They don't need to eat the meat themselves for the hunting to be moral, in my opinion.
