[QUOTE="GrabTheYayo"]like i said there is a difference between drinking 4 litres through out the day and drowning your self in it in seconds. its not how much you drink, its how fast you drink it. link is a day not a unit of time? its nothing to do with drowning, you can't dig yourself out of that statement, just tip your hat and pretend no one noticedhuuuhhhhh????!?!?! wtf am i reading?[QUOTE="toast_burner"]Its called water intoxication

The body needs salt and sugar anyway. Youdon't need THAT much water to be stable. You can sweat gallons and still be fine with about16 oz's of water. When you sweat you burn sugar and lose salt so it's more important to replace that. You'll die if you don't. It suprises mehow much water people think they need. If you drink alot of water or alcoholyou will just urinate often. You don't need a large quantity of it. People get sick & collapse because their salt and or sugar levels are too low. All of the water in the world won't restore them.
I drink about 8-16 oz of water a day. Some days I don't drink any.
My liquid diet consists of: 65% water 35% milk
The last other drink I drank was eggnog on Christmas day.
Sure, water doesn't satisfy my taste buds like a sugary drink, but I know it is good for me, so I drink it all the time. For the exact opposite reason I don't drink pop; I know it is bad for me, so I never drink it (plus, I never really liked it).
"The average small bottle or can of soda contains over 200 calories, none of which harbor any real nutrients for your health whatsoever. If you consume one can of pop per day, you will gain 12 pounds in only one year." (Source: yahoo.com)
Saw this in a Mens Health issue (Id rather have the ice cream sandwiches)
Minute Maid Lemonade (20-ounce bottle)
250 calories
67 g sugars
This lemonade favorite has the sugar equivalent of 5 Good Human Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwiches, and you'd need to do a full hour of vigorous housecleaning to burn off all the calories.
I rarely drink water unless I'm REALLY thirsty. Water is nasty, but cold filtered water is sometimes tolerable
[QUOTE="NoobisMaxcimus"]That's so gross. No wonder people are so fat.Omni-Slashexcept some of us that do this aren't..:| Obviously. I'm talking about people who substitute soda for water on a daily basis.
i drink
coke
crystal light (even i shouldn't because it as aspartame p.s they use this to kill lab rats)
Gatorade - free from work
Aquafine -bottle water from pepsi btw rank on top 10 graded bottle waters. i don't buy it. i get it from work for free
Tea time to time
orange juice not the juice that as 20 different juices lol. man that kills me every time. Products says 100% grape(or w/e) juice and you look at the back be like 10 different juices in it. most time the first juices are apple/orange in almost every flavor, because apples/oranges are cheap and high in sugar to give what ever you drinking a sweeter taste
that's mostly what i drink
yes i am cheap i shouldn't be drinking tap water or anyone else. i guess that's why i don't drink at home because crap they put in it.
and on the aspartame thing i shouldn't drink coke lol because the corn sugar (high fructose corn syrup, yes people start looking out for corn sugar in 2011 they are trying to change the name to hide the fakeness of high fructose corn syrup) because high fructose corn syrup in your system doesn't act as sugar lol. unlike sugar that goes right through your body throught your digestive system. high fructose corn syrup goes to your liver.
i know all about this bull crap that the fda aprrovels but it's soo good!
My dad gets sick from drinking water and it was documented in his medical records while he was in the army. He never suffered dehydration, but me on the other hand I drink water more than any other drink.
I drink water after I really worked out from exercising or playing sports. Sometimes I usually grab a gatorade, but I usually drink for a little bit is soda or tea.
LOL Canadaya whats wrong with that? where do you americans drink your milk? straight from the cow?[QUOTE="xaos"][QUOTE="redstorm72"]
Well, I'd say that 90% of my fluid intake is from other drinks besides water (mostly milk, soda and orange juice). Sometimes, I drink water at night or if I don't want to put a new bag of milk in the holder.
GrabTheYayo
Yes. Though some hardcore milk lovers get it straight from the mammaries.
The conformist sheep drink milk from cartons or plastic jugs though.
On topic, who doesn't like water? We need it to live. I drink a lot of soda, but I also drink water, especially while I'm working out.
I used to drink pretty much all soda and juice, but for a little over a month, it's been all water, milk, and a little bit of juice. I was getting disgusted by soda. It didn't quench my thirst and I don't like the taste anymore. And I feel much better in general. I'm definitely sticking with this. In fact, I'm drinking Pom Wonderful right now. It isn't that healthy, but it's better than pop and tastes pretty good.

That isn't too tart to drink straight? It's too much for me but I've mixed it with stuff. And it is rather good for you if you drink enough!

Well, it is pretty tart, but not too tart to drink straight. What have you mixed it with?I don't drink soda, only fruit juice and water. I drink ALOT of water, So I'm more than covered in that department lol 8)
I drink beer throughout the day, unless I am thirsty.
*fun fact: of properly hydrated, beer keeps you hydrated. It neither adds nor depletes to your hyrdration. In short, **** Gatorade, have a beer!
I try to drink around 1.5L of water a day...
I also like to make weird little smoothies that consist of spinach, broccoli, protein powder, and various fruits.
It used to be disgusting, but i've grown to the taste :P
Joshywaa
I've recently added spinach to my smoothies, too...its not bad tbh. Its actually really neutral flavored if consumed raw (the weird flavors only come out when cooked....I like cooked spinahc personally, though) and if used in fruit smoothies its quite good and adds a whole lotta nutrition.
Seriously, I use Kefir (yogurt drink), OJ, forzen fruit, and then add a big handful of sp inach and its fine

Yeah spinach is insanely good for you.
I've been trying to stick with mostly alkaline foods...but all the acidic stuff that is horribly bad for you is so delicious!!!

nah, its not that its bad for you (at least, by nature), theyre just loaded with sugar.
Oranges are good for you..Orange juice, on the other hand, is not. I think an 8-oz glass of OJ is the equivelent of like 4 oranges or something, not including the beneficial fiber (and the accompanying vitamins) that go with it.
I love it when people get on their high horse and say "No, I dont let my kids drink soda...just juice" when the truth is that juice is pretty bad, almost as bad in fact, as soda.
This truth is worsened by the fact that 80% of parents dont realize a lot of the juice-drinks they buy their kids have added sugar as well.
Its a wonderful world of food we live in, especially here in California. But you gotta be awful, awful, awful careful

I suppose "Acidic" food is a little misleading. Many people would think lemons would be classified as "Acidic" but they are actually an Alkaline food....Lemon + water is a great alkaline beverage (I am on the "alkaline" food bandwagon just because i've been told (but haven't seen like...proof) that cancer cannot survive in an alkaline environment).
But yeah...those "fruit juices" are really misleading...some of them i've seen have (just as you've said) as much or more sugar than pop....i guess it's all the naturally occuring sugars + all the added sugar. *shudder*

hahha yea, I heard about that. I actually know people that drink vinegar and apple juice in the moraning to keep their "pH balance in check". I guess neutral pH blood is happy blood :P
*epic sig, btw, I still need to watch Season 4. Is that photoshoped, or did Lighgow actually dance that way?

Nope it's a 100% legit dance that Lithgow did.
