People who think they're smart for watching "The Big Bang Theory"

I think the show is quite funny and I like it.

I think the blonde is overrated.

Do I think the show makes me smart? No. I already was to begin with. :P

It's kinda like The IT Crowd. You don't have to know anything about technology to get the jokes. It's more about liking the sitcom and the way they set up the jokes. I don't think I've ever met anybody who thinks they're smart for watching it, that seems silly. I watch it occasionally because Penny is hot.

Big Bang Theory is retarded.  Most of the humor is lame and tired.  I don't see how people find the show funny.

I never was too into any sidcoms really. 95% of TV I watch is educational.

I enjoy the show myself but I don't see how anyone can think it's for smart people. It's just a sit-com.

Frankly, there is much more pretention around shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development.

That said I also think The IT crowd gets too much praise by the people who like it. Yes there were a few really amazing episodes, but half the episodes were pretty mediocre.

You mean a show with a plot and imagination?  

I'm a fan of the show, but it was definitely better in the first 2-3 seasons when it wasn't trying to be as mainstream.  Now that everyone has a relationship, it's starting to lose a lot of its nerdy appeal it had earlier on.
