I could probably still name the first 150. I never played the series as a kid, but I loved the show. I stopped watching around the time it went into the Advanced series.

I'm 21 and still know pretty much all of them(aside from some of the 4th gen ones... never played those ones) thanks to my 7 year old nephew bringing over Pokemon White and Heart Gold all the time and wanting me to help him through the campaigns and teach him strategy and how to catch hard to find Pokemon. Having played Pokemon White now I must say it's a great game, probably the best RPG this gen that I can think of. It still has that classic Pokemon Red/Blue feel to it after so many years... that's what I love about Pokemon. The games continue to make improvements but don't try to go out of their way to try to change that fun, classic, loved formula that they've had. Why try to fix what isn't broken? Pokemon is classic example of a great JRPG formula IMO. The battle system can be as simple or as deep as you want and there's a lot of depth when it comes to stats, movesets, etc... and catching them all just doesn't get old when there's so many out there now to catch.

I stopped playing after gold and silver, I did play fire red for nostalgia, but i'll prob get back into it for real when pokemon 3ds hits.

Try Pokemon Black/White... trust me as someone who hadn't played Pokemon in years Black/White is very fresh with a lot of great new additions to the franchise but still feels almost exactly like the classic games... just fine-tuned as hell. And after you beat the game, there's cities and places to explore where you can catch tons and tons of different Pokemon from all of the old games(You never run into old Pokemon until after the campaign is completed either). And also, the online is really good too. I recommend giving it a shot, as a 21 year old who grew up on Pokemon I really enjoyed it.

Guess no one else saw Pokemon in theaters like me? :PFightingfan

Not only did I see it, I still have my special edition mew card that they gave out on the release date :P Its in some photo album at my moms house next to a picture of my brother dressed as a Team Rocket member.

[spoiler]

On a side note... I still get all choked up when Pikachu won't fight back in the movie.
