What does that have to do with effectively leading a country?

[QUOTE="kool-aids"]Obama ... never takes a stand on anythingGabuEx
I refer you to his 63-page document outlining his stances on every issue.
LOL, I have this page bookmarked, I read it, but what I meant was, whenever he is answers a question, he never answers it, he somehow gets around it by saying other things.
Mccain joking about "Bomb Iran" and then he says, "Get a life" to people who does not get it.
This guy sounds like some "screwed" up kid.
This guy is running for President?
And there are people voting for this guy?? Who want him to be President for the USA?
Does Americans even know what a Leader is?xTw1st4x
Your anti McCain protest is a failure without a link to proof. And hes not a kid.. Hes an old man.
I think it is hillarious that people would say they don't like Obama for not having much experience but then they will go ahead and support someone like Mccain who has an unstable personality and bad temper. You can tell his time in Vietnam messed with his head a bit when hes joking about bombing Iran (albeit we still need a link TC) and he sit there and throws tantrums at reporters for asking him questions that were admittingly dumb questions but still....
He is a childish and bitter old man who could do tons of damage to this country if put in office.....

Yes.
He can bring some fresh change that we need, won't keep us in a pointless war that is crippling the economy (Mccain), and unlike Hillary he isn't changing his story by the minute.
He hadn't been my first choice, but compared to his opponents he is a Godsend. The other 2 candidates are liable to destroy this country.....

Did you know he was a prisoner of war for years when he was in the armed forces, and stayed there when he could've been rescued becuase it would be better for others?
That qualifies him for the presidency, in my book.
McCain '08!

He may grasp economics, but his viewpoint regarding them is one I highly disagree with. He is bordering on socialism, which, I must say, I highly dislike, as I am one of the people who would be exploited...

Personally, I think that one of the biggest problems in modern society is one that nobody really talks about much, which is population apathy: people who honestly believe that it doesn't matter who wins the election because they think nothing will change. I've seen people ridicule his message of "hope", but I personally think that it's something that people need more than they think. It's the same thing that FDR brought to the country when he declared in his inaugural speech, "Let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself - nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance." People can discount the actual things that Roosevelt put into place, but I don't believe that anyone can discount the hidden effects of the hope that he brought to the American people when they needed it most.
The United States has one of the lowest levels of voter turnout in the entire world. The government is not going to solve everyone's problems for them; people have to get involved and start to care. And Obama is the only candidate who I think has any chance (or, indeed, any intention at all) of making some sort of headway against that current.
I'd gladly vote for John McCain.
Infact, I already plan to vote for John McCain when he gets the spot.
But when you have crappy choices like Hilary Clinton or Barrack Obama, then of course you are going to choose John McCain.
It's like choosing between eating crap or eating McDonalds. Both are horrible choices, but the crap is obviously the better choice. (McCain.)

I DON'T CARE IF HE IS A WAR HERO!!!!!!
You know something about Vietnam? It wreaked havoc on the soldiers who were unfortunate enough to be involved. There is no such thing as anyone who went over there and wasn't deeply affected in some way, especially some who has been a POW.
The very LAST thing we need is some old-time war hero who was a POW. Like I said before I think the man is unstable and I don't trust him as president. His war experience also makes him more liable to just throw us into war hastily based on his attitudes towards Iraq and Iran. The man seems to think it's a GOOD thing which is beyond ridiculous....
Hillary Clinton is beginning to look scarier and scarier every day. If Obama doesn't get the nomination, I may vote McCain.
AmyMizuno
If she gets the ticket I may just have to throw my vote at her to try and keep Mccain from winning.....
Makes me mad because I originally wanted to vote for Chuck Norris if my candidates didn't win, but now I actually have to vote out of fear of Mccain winning....
Voting for McCain would be a terrible prospect. He isn't at all resolute on a number of issues, including economics, which he has no earthly clue about (zero interest?), as well as foreign affairs, which is his claimed strong suit (he claimed that Al Queda was being trained by Iran  ). The fact that he is so adamant in his pursuit of war, coupled with his deficient knowledge of these issues is quite terrifying. Experience obviously makes for beter leadership /sarcasm

Political debates on the internet are instant fail, because no one will succeed in convincing anyone of anything.
I will proudly vote for John McCain. He has his flaws, but I think his positives outweigh them moreso than they do for Clinton or Obama.
There are many legitimate criticisms of the man, and I find it sad that the only one you can come up with was a joke put to the tune of a Beach Boys song.
