Pet Peeves: What are yours?

I've got a bunch, but I'll only list a few:

1. People who think they know everything, but then can't even define the words that they attempt to use in sentences.

2. People who chew with their mouth open and make loud smacking noises.

3. Over-sensitive people.

4. Technologically gimped people. (usually middle-aged or older folks that attempt to use computers and high-tech cell phones)

5. People who watch reality shows because "they're funny".

What about you?

As I wrote in my blog people who text or IM you with nothing to talk about (and don't try to start a conversastion beyond "hey" or "how you doing")
People who dislike songs because they're "old" (when they were popular like a week or two ago)
When people try to fix what's perfect (then ruin it)

People who text whenever they are out with friends because it's like a slap in the face to them saying "you're not interesting enough." Also people who text their boyfriend/girlfriend 24/7, like give me a damn break you can't have THAT much to talk about.

Ditsy girls and your typical club douche guys. These two usually go hand in hand and come in groups though, and you can avoid them. Although I loved the "My New Haircut" video because it was a typical club douche.

When people mock my music tastes just because it's "satanic." I don't even dignify those people with a response anymore.

When people use the word "like" in every sentence, and sometimes more than once.

People who update their facebook status every 2 hours with stupid stuff like "is watching a movie" or "is going to bed."

People who update their facebook status with sayings like "is super depressed" or "feels like this pain won't end" or other emo gunk, then when people ask what's wrong they say "don't want to talk about it."

and most recently (because I graduated in 09 and started university this year) people who suddenly "miss me so much" when they barely talked to me in high school. I can understand my friends asking to come down and visit, but when someone I didn't talk to for more than five minutes in a week says "I love you, come visit" it really grates me.

I've got many, but one of my worst is women who wear TOO much make up. Hell, if you have to put on pounds of make up just to look decent then just give it up. I've also seen some women who look way better without it and they flat out hurt their appearance by wearing too much make up.

Will my women please stop this circus-like behavior?

Girls who try to act ghetto

Abuse of the word "litterally"

Abuse of the word cool happens most often in text or IM conversastions. Examples
Friend: (asks question)
Me: Nah
Friend: Cool

Friend: What you doing?
Me: Not much
Friend: Cool

Me: Nevermind
Friend: Cool

Friend: (Asking me about a movie, or something like that)
Me: Meh it was okay
Friend: cool

Dressing up your pet (unless it's only for holidays, then that doesn't really bother me)

crying/screaming kids in public places, and this pet peeve is worse if the screaming kid is accompanied by a very aggressive mother.

Strangely enough, I'm the same way. Whenever I give someone a hand shake, I expect a firm handshake back in return. It also gives hints toward that individuals's personality

Well, some overweight people are on medications that they need to survive, it makes them gain weight or swell. Other than that, it's their food choices. It is on my pet peeves list for the people who choose bad choices, but not for people who need medications. :(

If I was aware that the person was on medications, than I can't really be too harsh on them. I'm referring to the people who whine about being fat and expect sympathy from other people when they put forward no effort to try to lose weight.

I work in a restaurant with a girl that is massive. She complains about being fat all the time yet she gets a meal right when she gets to work and then another when she leaves. She will complain because the thinner girls get better tips than her because she's fat, and that it's not fair. Hearing that broken record go off 4 nights a week for the past few years got under my skin very quickly so now it's become a habit for me to get irritated with

I've only encountered it a few times, but I have a friend who does it. His reasoning is because he likes the cheese on the bottom of the meat. It just looks so awkward when someone eats it that way. It's hard to describe but he ends up with his thumbs on top of the burger and his fingers on the bottom. Since he can't comfortably put the burger in his mouth, he has to turn it sideways and tilts his head to the side just to take a bite. I won't even eat around him anymore. He does it with sandwiches as well.

I'm also a waiter and every once in awhile I'll have a customer that does it. It's something you'd have to witness in order to truly grasp how annoying it really is

Coke, burgers, and some fries. Seriously. Stop complaining about it and do something. I'm not giving sympathy to those people. :?

Exactly! It's not like all fat people I have a problem with, it's just the ones who expect sympathy for it. I'm no dietitian myself but if I start gaining weight I have enough self control to eat a salad instead of a pizza and maybe do some extra cardio at the gym. Nothing serious or life altering. I just see obesity as a form laziness. Since I'm very lazy myself and I can maintain myself so I don't see why they can't as well

I say that they need to start eating veggies and fruits. Keep a food diary, stop stuffing crap down your thoat. Seriously. Exercise for once. Go outside. Gosh. :?
