Oh yeah. :x

Those people really piss me off. "I'm so fat I need to lose weight." I hear that everyday, yet they tell me they love those fast food resteraunts, and guess what they order often? Coke, burgers, and some fries. Seriously. Stop complaining about it and do something. I'm not giving sympathy to those people. :?

Lilyanne46

Exactly! It's not like all fat people I have a problem with, it's just the ones who expect sympathy for it. I'm no dietitian myself but if I start gaining weight I have enough self control to eat a salad instead of a pizza and maybe do some extra cardio at the gym. Nothing serious or life altering. I just see obesity as a form laziness. Since I'm very lazy myself and I can maintain myself so I don't see why they can't as well

I play tennis, and I have to keep a steady weight, not to mention I'm a super picky eater. I highly doubt I'd gain weight, but even if I do, I'm gonna work it off, like those people should. I think it's rediculous how America has the highest obesity rate (correct me if I'm wrong). I think we need to do something about it. So many people need health care because they're so out of shape, and unhealthy. It hurts the economy, and themselves. :|

It really is a problem. The US is the fattest country and nobody seems to do care enough to do anything about it. There should be like free gyms to go to or something and somehow require everybody to go for at least 2 hours a week. I know that would never happen.

I was actually glad when airlines wanted to start charging massive people for 2 seats since they take up a lot more space. I was on a flight a few weeks back and I was sitting next to this dude whose stomach completely engulfed my air rest. He was sweating profusely the whole flight and did nothing but complain about how hot it was on the plane. The only reason it was hot was because he was on the plane...

Oh man, that sucks. And I can see that. If only we could do something about it. There should be a special section on planes for overweight people. :?

lol well if they put them all in the same section than the plane would fly lop sided. You'd have to spread them out eventually to keep the weight distribution in check

No, I don't think you get it; I'm not being a smartass. Those are all things that seriously piss me off nonstop, time after time, without fail. I more or less hate everyone and everything, except for a few particulars. What do I do, you ask?

Well, my wife first and foremost. Second, I'm actually an attorney (as is my wife), and I currently work on title opinions (if you're not familiar with the term, google it). In my spare time, I'm a semi-professional session drummer, and I play and record a lot of music. I also teach percussion during the summers through a local university, and I volunteer as what you might call a "writing consultant" at the same university's writing center; I teach students how to properly construct effective idiomatic arrangements, research analysis, and extended argumentation within their papers when they come to the writing center for help. When it comes to writing and intellectual exercises, I have extremely high standards, and that makes me seem borderline OCD. There is no end to the flow of things in this society that really, truly piss me off. Sorry to come across as a hateful elitist. That is, in essence, exactly what I am.

by the smart ass comment i was talking about me i figured you might add it to the list becuae i thought i would come offasone. i also know there is alot to hate about todays world i cant begin to list my complaints about it but ill save that for another time, so your not alone there. people do think im OCD sometimes too but im not, just because i get worked up over something doesnt make me OCD. im impressed you do quite alot and im glad to see someone has a job and a decent life in this day and age.

i also think iwas a bit to harsh in my original response, i do that sometimes i look at something the first time and get like that but then look at it again later and see there was something wrong about how i did it.

People who don't drive the speed limit. Slow or fast, they seem oblivious to the perfectly logical reason that speed limits exist - constant rate of travel. On the same topic, unsynchronized traffic lights bother me a lot. I find it rather ironic that my city is making quite an effort to encourage people not to idle their cars unnecessarily; they could have used that money to pay someone to synchronize some traffic lights, which would do FAR more to cut down on unnecessary idling.

Then there's people who feel they are experts in music despite the notable handicap of having barely studied music at all and thus knowing next to nothing about it. Oh what fun it is to debate someone who feels "it's all subjective" is a valid analysis of the differences between a cIassical symphony and a pop song.

How did I not think to include that in my monstrous list? It's always good to hear a fellow educated musician, and in your case fellow music teacher, second the annoyance I feel from the same sort of situation; although my background is jazz (jazz drumset percussion specifically) as opposed to classical, I feel you completely.

Well, that comment about know-it-alls covers it quite well. So at the very least, you've got it covered on a subconscious level. :P

It is irritating, though. People would never believe that a used car salesman who read a Wikipedia article about the theory of relativity knows more about it than trained physicists do... but they seem to have little trouble arriving at the conclusion that the same used car salesman knows as much about music as a university-educated musician, provided that used car salesman went through a few electric guitar lessons on Youtube. After all, it's all subjective.

I have a few.

-People who make no effort to spell things correctly a good portion of the time.

-People who call themseleve "fat" when they are not-maybe a bit chunky, but nothing fat fat.

-People who feel it is necessary to put a swear word every 2 words when writing or speaking.

-Arrogance is a biggie. People who are cocky just beacuse they can do something while others cannot/ or don't want to.

People who complain over everything in life.

Might have more to add later.

When I say I don't like something, like one time I said I didn't like 'Stairway to Heaven' and people gawked at me with their mouth open and said "What is wrong with you?" as if there was some unwritten rule that just because a song was a 'classic' that I was supposed to like it (or pretend to like it). People that take too long to accomplish something and use ALL the time to do so only because they are allowed, like when someone takes too long to say something that could have been said in 1/32nd of the time. Being asked the same questions all the time.

People who go slow in the fast lane.

People who talk on their phone while they're using the restroom.

People who don't put the same value on other people's time as they put on their own.

People who back into parking spaces.

People who don't pull forward at the gas pump.

People with aisle seats who get on the plane first, then they act all put out when you ask them to get up so you can get into window seat.

You should take a trip to Afghanistan, you would love it there

That's RACIST :o

It's not racist. You've all heard that the synonym for a monolingual (I think that's a word) is "American" It's sometimes true and sometimes isn't. It's a stupid thing to say however, but I believe the thing about Afghanistan is used in jest. I hope the thing about Americans being monolingual is also in jest...
