Photography threads repeatedly locked

So what is the deal? Another member asked a moderator if it would be ok to have a post your photos thread and was told it was ok. So quite a few people started to post photos and HAVE A DISCUSSION about them or the methods. So why was it locked? A second thread that was created and had more replies was locked because another photography thread was open. What is the problem with the thread that it needs to be locked?

My second post that has the link is to the original Ask The Mods thread that Geezer used to ask a mod if it was ok to start the post your photography thread. I asked why the photography thread was closed in Geezer's Ask The Mods thread. Right after I posted my question, they deleted it and locked the thread.quikdash6

Sep 27 2011 is old? I made a post on the 15th and then several other started to post. Adding substance to thread. If that is the case, fine, but seems odd that as people are posting in the thread the same day they lock it.quikdash6

Bumping an old thread such as the one the TC did is considered disruptive posting. Pretty much anything after about a week is considered old and shouldn't be touched. If you want to make a new thread about photography, that's perfectly fine.

And as far as bumping the thread in AtM, what you bumped was for a completly unrelated thread, not to mention that only moderators may post in another user's AtM thread. Next time, go ahead and make a new one if you have questions. I hope this clears things up.
