I was reading about this.
Pixar isn't heartless after all!
I'm glad she got to see the movie after all. :)
Wow, that's sad, really really sad, now when i watch the movie i'll shed a tear for this little girl, hell, i almost cry when i was reading this
Such a nice detail Pixar.
Rest in Peace
I'm sorry, but that's a stupid last wish. He (or she, I didn't really read the story) should've watched Kung Fu Panda.
You feel that Kung Fu Panda is the better film?I'm sorry, but that's a stupid last wish. He (or she, I didn't really read the story) should've watched Kung Fu Panda.

I think he got stared/facepalmed off the forum.where is that heartless soul who said he hates pixar movies?
LeGoofyGoober
no offence guys but pixar maybe did that so they get more publicity
L30KinG
As I've already said to the last person who assumed that....
Pixar was not even the ones who created the publicity. Infact, they even declined to comment on this situation to the media.
The reason why we know of Pixars act of good deeds at all was because the family wanted to share the story and let people know as their token of gratitude for the company.
*head bangs on desk for next 10 hours*I'm sorry, but that's a stupid last wish. He (or she, I didn't really read the story) should've watched Kung Fu Panda.

Threads like this make you realize how easy it is to hate existence... because there are countless millions of people suffering just like this little girl did right this moment. It tears you up emotionally if you let yourself think about it.

And for every million people who dies, there are a million tears. Just because not every news of someone passing away makes way to OT doesn't mean no one else out there cares for any other death.

Well, there would probably be much more than a million tears, considering that each single person would get more than one tear, assuming the person pr people crying for them really were close to them.

You get the point... To act like no one cares for millions of other people who die just because they weren't posted on Gamespot is stupid.
Call me a cynical bastard, but it's very good marketing to do something like this.[QUOTE="wiidskirby"]
I guess movie companies aren't all shallow and evilMrPraline
Either way; sad story, and I'm happy Pixar fulfilled her final wish. :)
Thats the thing about cynical people. They are so cynical they cant even interpret anything as a gesture of good will, just of posturing. They think that since they are cynical, everyone must be cynical. A sad way to go through life indeed.RIP little girl.

Well, yeah, of course. Just because I may not care for one's death, does not mean there will not be those that do.
What a sad story. I had a few tears I'm not gonna lie. Stories like this just constantly remind me how blessed I am in life. I'm glad she got to watch the movie.

I think you missed my point - in reality, we can't do anything about suffering, and if you come to the realization that tragedies like the one you read about in this story are happening all over the world to millions of other people as we speak, you can't help but be overwhelmed by it - assuming you care about other people, that is.

I don't think the main point of the article was to sob over death. The point the parents had for making it public was to tell the story of their daughter's final days and the deed of a company that put a smile on her face. That's what's touching about the story and why people are getting emotional over it. None of us here can say we knew the girl, but we felt the sense that there is still good people in this world.

It was pure tragedy for me. She died at such a young age, and the last wishes of her infantile mind made that fact all too lucid.
