Plans For Summer?

Im not to sure when everyones off school/college/uni or whatever. But this is my last week of college and a week after I go on holiday with two of my friends and my girlfriend to sunny spain magaluff! Then when I get back my 18th is the thursday after so iv book my two weeks off work and booked myself in for sun, booz, fun and no stress! Also going camping at somepoint with some friends, and in august me and my family are going to stirling for a long weekend so that there all with me and my mum to celebrate my (late) 18th :D

What has everyone on GS got planed for their summer then? :)

Family is going to the US.

Go to the beach get a tan, and strut my beach bod.

Shoot guns, play games, work on a steam railroad.

Work, hang with friends from home, visit friends from college, prep for the GRE, and research graduate schools.

Working 40 hours a week at the lab, visiting my sister in New Mexico first week of July, have a 3 week field course up in the mountains later in July. Other than that, hanging out with friends, doing whatever comes my way, plus I turn 21 June 23. Actually tomorrow I'm running in the Bolder Boulder, I'm super-psyched! hockey73

Hopefully meet some members of the opposite sex. Other then that not much, just the same boring stuff. Oh, and then I'm going to college in the fall which will be the official end of my low stress level that I've had for the past 17 years.:(

Trust me college isn't as stressful as you may think. As long as you stay on top of your work and develop good study habits you'll be surprised at how stress free it is.

Trust me college isn't as stressful as you may think. As long as you stay on top of your work and develop good study habits you'll be surprised at how stress free it is.

Well thanks man, that helps.:) The main thing I'm worried about is the fact that I was home-schooled my whole life, so I'm just concerned that I'll get a little overwhelmed with the work load, dates, times ect ect. I'm just not used to it.

Yeah I found my first year at college really good :) Its just when you get work to do, do it. I was so streesed about the end of year essay I had to do and its just horrible trying to finish everything in such a sort time because I couldnt be bothered at the start :/ College is what you make it really.

The main thing is to be on top of assignments and plan accordingly. Don't wait until the last minute to do things. Nothing sucks more than starting a paper the night before its due and having to pull an all nighter in order to finish it.

Thanks for the tip. I don't procrastinate much so I should be able to get things done before crunch time.

First off i've got to replace the hard drive that failed yesterday. Apart from that i'm going to try to lose some fat and gain some muscle, read, learn to cook a little better, take a look at doing my theory driving test, perhaps read some text books to improve my computer skills ready for next year and perhaps do some industry certs. I'm may build a project too, did have the idea of making a super computer a while back just for the hell of it or perhaps some new furniture as my current setup is kinda ghetto.markop2003

Im on my 4th attempt at my theory test :lol: my dad keeps having a go but its like hes paying for it, but I hope you have better luck with it than I seem to do :)

I actually like the job I have now - Needs to happen to live our life now doesn't it? Can't make it very far without making money in this life. It's just something that needs to be done. I have bills to pay.
