[QUOTE="FragStains"]Next thing you know, the breakdancers are going to want their own event. And then, the panhandlers demand inclusion into the Games. Where does it end? Curling as an Olympic sport?wigan_gamerCurling is amazing lol :) I am not being sarcastic btw.
I have to admit... I enjoy watching it. I have no idea why.
I don't think it it will work out in all seriousness. The spirit of pole dancing won't reflect on a scoring system, it's not quite the same as dancing on ice or even gymnastics. Unless the judges are made up of a group of anonymous penises dangling on display, we have to watch just how erect each one ends up, starting from the easy randy savage on the left ending up on the asexual on the far right. Who gains the most height wins!

curling is a GAME, no a SPORT. its like having lawn darts in the olympicsI don't get why they'd put that in the Olympics. It's supposed to be an Athletic Group of Men and Women, not a Strip Club :(
Sure, Pole Dancing can make you fit, but it's by no means a sport.
You did not watch my video  -they are more athletic than the ice dancers...though that does not mean I am for their placement in the OlympicsIf this does get approved, I'll be looking for a spot to place a bet on when the first pole-dancing judging scandal will happen... :P
And I cannot emphasize enough how much they MUST put an age limit on this. I swear to Odin if they put this event in and I see a bunch of Chinese girls who look like they're about 10 competing I'm going to be very irritated.nocoolnamejimNah man don't worry. It's okay to watch that kind of stuff as long as it's in the olympics. That's what the gymnastics event is for.

What video :o?
I just posted my Comment and left :P
I'm not saying their not Athletic, they just don't belong in the Olympic.

I'd love to see the scoring on that...
Especially if they have to do it in time with music."10 for style, 6 for stamina, 8 for synchronization" "You know Jane he's really improved from last year." "He sure has Bob..."

I am pretty sure the categories would be shape, size, bounce, and lift. This upsets me because baseball is bo longer an olympic sport. And yes, I understand you need to be strong, it isn't easy, etc. But c'mon, if this can be in the olympics why can't baseball?kittyloaf69
I thought they removed it because the US dominated to the point of it being embarrassing to the other teams?

well then they should get rid of the Olympics altogether :D[QUOTE="ChowsSN"]You say you want it now, but wait until they have the men's pole dancing competition.Fuhgeddaboudittjust like the mans figure skating, just dont watch.
Man's Figure skating is pretty good. Alexei Yagudin was great during the 2006 Winter Olympics. It's a lot better than Pair's Figure skating where some of the contestants are siblings :|
I'm excited that climbing might make it:

[QUOTE="Oleg_Huzwog"][QUOTE="Darth_Silver"]*Buys tickets to all future olympics* But seriously, that'll be weird. Would they broadcast it on TV? And would this mean other forms of dancing are now going to be olympic sports? Olympic Ballerinas?Darth_Silver
Ice Dancing is already a medal sport.
I don't see why. Honestly, dancing isn't really something you can judge unless everyone is doing the same dance. Otherwise it's a matter of opinion on whose was better. Agreed, dancing is an art not a sport...Please Log In to post.
