Yes I am aware of that. And I already said that I can't speak for the rest of the nation's cities. But instead of dodging my main point that social aid has a mostly negative impact on the country, let's continue to debate about where African Americans live and how many of them are on welfare.

Welfare Abuse will always happen, there are welfare success stories. Without Welfare, the crime rate would shoot through the roofs. You put people in a situation where you're saying, either get money anyway possible or die. Safety nets protect the people from collapse, and just because some people fall into the safety net and never climb out, doesn't mean it won't help many others.

You're completely right. Kudos.

Since the sixty's, both welfare benefits and crime rates have generally been increasing in the U.S. If the statement "Without Welfare, the crime rate would shoot through the roofs. [sic]" was accurate, we would expect to see a negative correlation between welfare and crime. That is, if welfare benefits go up, crime would decrease. We see no such correlation (at least in the U.S.) The argument is statistically erroneous.

Well for starters I am a Conservative, I think that video puts smiles on the liberal faces. I know of so many liberals where I live that still worships everything Obama does. What people do not realize is we need to impeach him.ZombiefiedZomB
You should save impeachment for someone who deserves to be impeached. We don't need a Congress endlessly ****ing up the legislative process because of partisan masturbation.

sigh, claiming Obama is not socialist is like claiming turtles don't have shells. Oh did you know that the federal government, as part of the stimulus bill obama signed, payed 3.4 million to build a tunnel for turtles in florida?Darkainious
Cool, environmental policy isn't socialist and it's unrelated. As for Obama being a socialist, can you actually define socialism and see if Obama fits the criteria? Your analogy proves nothing.

Reagan said the right things in that speech. Too bad his presidency wasn't much of a reflection of what he said.

And also, health care is most definitely good for the american people. The democrats said "we want to pass healthcare" and the American people voted them into office. If the republican scare machine wants to turn healthcare into some hideous psudo-Communist-atheist-Nazi-abomination, well then democrats are going to pass it anyway. Unregulated capitalism is NOT the answer any more than socialism is the answer (an no, Obama is not a socialist. Ask a real socialist)

Acemaster27

There's no denial that healthcare is necessary. Both parties want to fix it but it's the "how" everything disagrees on. The Democrats did a poor job of selling the idea to the American people because of the idiotic comments (like the ones in the video). The GOP is doing what the Dems did with the Iraq War and shouldn't be a surpise to anyone.

And how would you know that unregulated capitalism wouldn't work for healthcare? The insurance companies are major problems because they can inflate prices for goods and services but it's also the state governments that keep them from competing state-to-state with the exception of few health insurance companies. There isn't much competition to be done anyway because of the amount of regulations that are in place already.

It was okay. They need to show Republicans too though. They're no better than the Democrats. It's time for REAL conservatism to come back to the U.S.
