POLL: Best Metal Band

Since I can't tell if this is broken for everybody can anyone who is experiencing this problem post here please?

Out of that list Metallica and Pantera. Of all time I'd say Dragonforce, Megadeth and Black Label Society.AirGuitarist87

No you pretty much did. How would it make any sense to say a band is the best metal band of all time when they aren't even the best of their sub-genre?

Ok, let me reword what I said - Dragonforce are my favourite band of all time and my favourite power-metal band.

I like Metallica, but I didn't hear the rest of the bands ( I only started hearing metal and I pick songs from here and there ).

Hey, did anybody hear Metallica's No Leaf Clover? Is it good?

best metal band of course is metallica, you cant beat the master and justice albums, but my favorite band by far is system of a down ( if they even count, they are all over the place )

those are all very commerialized, theres much better metal out there then those 5_Celldweller_

What about Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, and ...And Justice for All?

And after that you can refer to them as "watered-down". The Black album was their first "watered-down" album, and its a pretty damn good album (although I much prefer their earlier work), only reason its hated by a lot of Metallica fans is because it was a radical departure from their previous work.

And after that every album has sucked.

Maiden has been far more consistent. They released 2 crappy albums but that was after they had changed lead singers...for the second time.

Thats just your opinion, and probably no one elses. There were so many amazing songs in those Metallica albums I mean cmon...

Blackened
Battery
To Live is to Die

And thats only from the two of three albums mentioned.

Out of those, Black Sabbath. I kinda liked their s/t.

Metallica had quite a few albums that were really great IMO. Master of puppets, Black album and ride the lightning. That doesn't mean that the other bands on the list aren't great either.

They're actually more of a "core" band than "metal".
