Definately LBJ, in my opinion. He respected the agenda of JFK, and did a much better job of getting it passed than JFK did himself, only to them move onto his own agenda once he'd honoured that of his predecessor. He was arguably the first president to give a crap about poverty, and in particular to care about the plight of black people in the states. He made more progress in healthcare, housing and tackling poverty than any president of that century, all while fighting a war in Vietnam which wasnt of his doing. It's a shame Nixon came along and dismantled practically everything he set up.

FDR > Lincoln > Teddy > Everyone else.

I honestly don't understand the love for Reagan, I haven't the slightest clue. Perhaps it's because he changed real conservatives into Neo-conservatives? I dunno.

Reagan kicked some pretty serious ass. You have to at least respect him for that. When faced with air traffic controllers going on strike he came outside, told them that if they didnt get back to work he would personally fire every single one of them and replace them with somebody who would, and then calmly went back inside without fielding a single question. And sure as heck, they got their asses back to work.

I understand that. I'm not saying that what John Adams did was right or wrong, but to say he was one of the worst presidents this country has ever had because of things such as the Sedition act when the passing of such legislation is the norm when in a state of crisis is kind of absurd. You said yourself that FDR was the greatest president the U.S. ever had. FDR signed legislation just as restricting as the Sedition acts. Now would you call FDR one of the worst presidents the U.S. ever had?

George Bush. He showed aspiring young wanna-be presidents what never to do, thus ensuring a prosperous future for American leadership.
