*POLL* Did You Choose Your Sexual Orientation?

A study conducted by someone (forgot who) determined that roughly 10-15% of people are purely homosexual or heterosexual. Everyone else is somewhere in between.

I believe that some people are naturally born are ceratain way. However, I also think that a lot of people underestimate just how flexible of a thing sexual preference is. We've all heard of girls experimenting in college, haven't we? I'm sure that if so many guys weren't insecure, it might be the same way with us.

I believe that people do choose their sexual orientation, but it's not the choice someone makes quickly. It's more of a choice that someone makes over time as they experience different things. Before, I've always liked girls only and I thought it was nasty to be with a guy, but then I thought about it. I thought for a long time about how it shouldn't matter whether I spend the rest of my life with a man or a woman, as long as we cared for eachother, that's if I spend the rest of my life with anyone. Here's my take - your sexual orientation is defined by one thing and one thing only - who you're having sexual relations with.

I don't choose who I'm attracted to. But I sure as heck choose who I have sex with. So, yeah, I choose my sexual orientation, I choose to be straight.
