i was talking about this with a friend today and am curious what you guys would do. Also the amputation would be painless so factor that into your decision.

i guess if i had to i wouldn't really have a choice, now would i? :P
but if i could CHOOSE then yeah probably, with a billion dollars i could get something just as good as a leg, or better, like a rocket.
No i wouldn't..though that may seem rather short sighted and such..i just can't deal with having a fake leg :(..
No, I wouldn't. I don't want to rely on a fake leg, or be stuck to a wheelchair all my life. There has to be negative side effects for not being able to exercise without both legs.
I wouldn't even consider it. Money just isn't important enough to me where id take it over enjoying playing sports like basketball and golf with friends. No money can buy u a leg as good as the one u got. Just get a decent job that pays well enough.
I feel the same way, as long as you do what makes you happy.I wouldn't even consider it. Though I did pick the 3rd option because a billion dollars is ALOT, and I'm sure there would be a way to "steal" another persons leg and graft it to my body.
Hell yes i'd just buy an artificial leg and make up a war story for the ladies 8) win-winXD4NTESINF3RNOX
Dude, with a billion dollars you could just buy them.
Hell yes. I can finally get a wheelchair legally.
EDIT: Even better, i could replace with a peg leg and go pirate.
its a tempting offer, especially so when you consider that nowadays fake legs have become so realistic that when you see a person with one you may not even notice, but ultimately I think I would have to pass.
Nah. As unattractive as I think it is, I'll keep my leg. Funnily enough though, if I was asked to sell my soul for a billion dollars then I might actually do it.

How about a machine gun like in Rose McGowan's character in Planet Terror? :D
I mean it's a billion... I could own a yacht, live in a mansion, and drink beer by the beach for the rest of my life 0Tyler0
It'll get old after 2 weeks.

HELL YES!
A billion dollars is more than enough to buy myself the finest and most badass robotic leg that money can buy.
And then I'd STILL have enough money left over to live like a king for the rest of my life.

It'd be worth it to just be able to live like a king and not have any financial worries. and I don't know how living the good life could get old to you, but if you say so.[QUOTE="Zerocrossings"]

Who said anything about squandering one's wealth?Well.. since I am against prostitution, I'd be against this. Also, the high chance of chronic pain for the rest of my life, the loss of freedom to walk anywhere without needing to shop for a ATP, brings a price that cant be counted in dollars. While I know most are just being funny about it, I know all that money wouldnt make me respect myself again. I just couldnt do it.
