Yea, I'm really surprised at the results. A lot of people I know find Friends a lot more hilarious than Seinfeld. But then again, a lot of people I know are complete tools...but that's another story.

Seinfeld >> Friends, and for that matter, pretty much anything I would actually watch is better than Friends.
I think my biggest problem with Friends is that the characters just aren't very interesting and frankly, I think the show is aimed at a specific viewer demographic which I don't fall into, and judging by the responses in this thread, neither do most of the people here.
Seinfeld seems to have almost universal appeal. Almost. Except for people with no sense of humor. :P
Seinfeld was my favorite show back in the day. Each character was unique, had their own little "thing", and each episode was funny with a good story. Kramer never failed to crack me up whenever he busted through the door to the apartment :D hahahaTHE_BRUTALIZER
Ever since I watched David Lynch's Rabbits, I often think of that when Kramer comes in the door. Damn you, David Lynch.

Friends, becuase it was funny and believable and people could really relate to the show at the time. Seinfeld is grossly overrated and to be honest not that funny. Jerry tries too hard to make people laugh and to be honest he is not even that funny. Krammer was good but he was a total goof and his jokes get tired very quickly and the woman is just boring. In short Friends = funny and Seinfeld = boring.
My uncle would keep watching the show when he used to live with us when I was a little boy in 1998/9. I never really ever got the jokes and everytime I wanted to watch cartoons he would always tell me after the show. I would sit and watch with him until it finished, never getting the jokes and I just got really annoyed with the weird popping sounds at the end. Maybe I'll like it more now, I do try to watch it now and then but the characters are kind of grotesque and theres nobody I can relate to, each one of the characters in Friends are relatable, jokes are funny and theres more of a heartful storyline to it. I'll try again to watch Seinfeld when the next rerun is on though.
I hate both of them but if I was to be threatened with an eternity in hell, the I guess I would pick Sienfield. As a black male, there is nothing in either show that I could possibly relate to or find mildly interesting :x
Seninfeld. I have watched friends and it is alright, but nothing I will sit down to watch unless nothing else is on. Seinfeld I will tune in for and has me laughing 10 years later!
I think I'd have to say Friends because I've seen nearly all of the episodes of that show, as opposed to the thirty or so episodes of Seinfeld that I have seen.
Seinfeld. Although Friends does have touching moments and (obviously) a usually more cohesive story, Seinfeld is simply ingeniously funny and the way they wrap up an episode is consistently clever
