In 2009 IBM will launch project "Kittyhawk" by 2011 it becomes self aware and systematically starts to launch nuclear strikes against its targets. Deaths are in the tens of millions and the world economy crashes.
One brave man does the unthinkable to stop this genocide, he turns off the computer. Saving the world from destruction.
No.. no .. no.. !! NOT THE ROBOTS!!
Okay..
The idea of a world completely ruled by robots is somewhat scary. They are vulnerable from 'infections' which can turn them into mindless zombies. A world half-controlled by robot is possible. Just look at the industry sector. There is virtually no one on the work floor. Just robots assembling everything.
Isn't the whole point of the internet to make it distributed and thus impervious to widespread failure? It seems to me that putting the internet on one single computer would make it kinda... vulnerable.GabuExAwww, Gabu! This thread was supposed to be filled with baseless speculation and wild accusations! And there you go getting all logical. :P
