**POLL** Which was the best of the Star Wars movies and why?

For me, its The Empire Strikes Back.

Empire Strikes Back, definitely... who voted for Attack of the Clones? Really, the only good part of that movie was the Geonosis Battle. I would have chosen Return of the Jedi if it weren't ruined by rock wielding teddy bears beating up the "Emperor's best troops". I also like how you just left out the Phantom Menace... lol... again, only good part of that was the end Darth Maul battle. GodofBigMacs

Lol, we think alike my friend, Ewoks knocked Return out for me as the best, and yeah I left Phantom Menace out cause its the consensus worst thanks in good measure to the presense of uggh Jar Jar Binks.

A New Hope because it introduced everything.

I can't believe you left out 1 and put 2 in the poll. 1 was bad, but 2 was just terrible.

The space battle was stupid, but I find the whole 'Are you an angel?' scene to be worse. That scenes makes me want to bash my head against a wall.

Erm the original Triology is preaty equal to me, 3 is also very good. 1 and 2 are just whatever. 1 was way to wierd (seriusly? a 10 year old is t3h pr0 pil0tz?) and 2 was just whatever (3/4 of the movie is just boring, and the ending just seems rushed). I liked 3 cuz it had alot of combat scenes and some general plot outline.

I like A New Hope the most, but Empire Strikes Back comes very close.

well, ok, of all the choices I listed I liked 2 the least, but it was still much better than Phantom Menace to me.

I hated the romance scenes in 2 also, but I liked some of the action scenes quite abit.

But everytime Jar Jar was in a scene in the first movie I had the same reaction you did with some of Episode 2's scenes.

I actually liked revenge of the sith. But I never really watched the first series of star wars films from the old days....tocool340

Yeah, Jar Jar Binks was EXTREMELY Annoying. I had the same reaction to te Romance scenes and the Spaceship Battle with Anakin. Err....This Kid can fly a craft he's never even seen before? WOW! HE can even Obliterate Skilled Pilots! AwesomE!. :P

My favorite battle in 2 was probably the Obi-wan vs. Jango scene, along with the following space battle.

I'm kind of surprise Return of the Jedi isn't getting more love. maybe those Ewoks downgraded it for them also.

Attack of the Clones and Return of the Jedi have the same # of votes.....who would've thunk that?

Return of the Jedi was my favourite due to Vader's path to redemption, but after watching the prequels, I thought A New Hope was the movie that tied the prequels and the sequels together.

Here's my favorites in order:

4.) Revenge of the Sith

5.) Attack of the Clones

6.) Phantom Menace

It's obvious the final Darth Maul fight destroys anything else in the prequels which makes 1 the best prequel IMO. The only good part of 2 was Jango VS Obi Wan. The rest was just boring. Mario2007

But those 2 battles alone place it above Phantom Menace and uggh Jar Jar. Jar Jar was tolerable in Episode 2.

IMO though Revenge of the Sith is the only prequel worthy of the last 3 episodes

have to give it to Empire. even though ANH introduced everything, Empire 1-upped it all. Better acting, more intense action, more character development, better set pieces.

I'm sorry but Episode 1 was the worst Star Wars movie ever, it was riddled with plot holes, none of the characters had character, and it tried to explain what the Force was and failed so misserably.

Why is Phantom Menace not on the list?
