Pop Vs Soda!!

I live in Michigan so it's pop for me. :D

I choose sodapop.

I've lived in many states, and I've noticed that 'pop' has been commonly said in the south....So I choose soda, because I think it's more sophisticated :D

I say "Colored, flavored, carbonated water."

I hate it.. I made it like 6 years ago and people think just because of my user name that my post don't count. I usually hear stuff like "yea, coming from a guy named "bigblunt" that means a lot". I made this name because of a rap song and I liked the way he said it. Plus I was 13. lol

It's a regional thing, and here in the midwest, we call it pop.

Well I usually say the name of the drink, but if its all pop in general I usually say 'coke' or 'pop'

I prefer the more pretentious term chilled carbonated liquid beverage. Roles right off the ol' tongue.

Always order soda or coke. Never said pop in my life.

Coke comes naturally to me even though I prefer Pepsi. I never say soda or pop.

Coke is really just the general name we label all sodas. Like "Pick up a couple of cokes when your at the store" and that could mean getting a Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, or even an actual Coke. Basically, if you want a Pepsi ask for a Pepsi. If you want a Dr. Pepper ask for a Dr. Pepper. If you don't care then ask for a coke. It's really just our way of saying soda.

I just call it by what it is...if I want a coke, I say..can I have a coke....if I want a sprite..i'll say can I have a sprite. If no brand is mentioned, I call it a soft drink.

I say soda.
