Possibly the worst tip ever reported in a restaurant

You have to see it to believe it.

The guy wasn't happy enough to give her no cash whatsoever. In addition to writing a big zero for a tip, he wrote the following:

In case you can't make it out it said "You could stand to loose [sic] a few pounds."

And I thought leaving a penny as a tip for bad service was bad.

To be fair, we didn't hear the other guy's side of the story and for all we know the waitress could have been bad. But, we don't have any evidence of that but we got written evidence of her calling the waitress fat.

I don't think so. I think not leaving a tip (if you live somewhere where people tip) is enough. Leaving a rude note at the end just seems unnecessarily mean.

I already knew she weighted a little more than your average woman but any man who values their frank and beans would avoid actually telling a woman to her face she's fat. Which is why I'm assuming he wrote it on the receipt she probably didn't read until he was already out the door.

Was a little rude, not a big deal though, the avalanche of publicity and hate he (and others with the same name) are getting is much worse than the actual tip....

There's a place where you are forced to pay the waiter a certain percentage, no matter how much they sucked. Not to mention the food was too costly by itself. :|

I can beat that. I hate the most screwed up waiter at a Friendlies when I was a teen... I won't go into details, but one element involved a LIT cigarette in my then-boyfriend's shake. My tip? I took a nickel and dropped it the remainder of a glass of water. I put a plate on top, then turned it over, and lined the edge of the glass-plate seal with ketchup.

Beat that.

He may just have saved her life. Obesity is a killer.

That is extremely rude, this isn't a friend or a family member your being critical towards.. Its a stranger.. Everyone has something they should do to themselves to improve, that doesn't mean a stranger has any business of telling the person that.
