I'd say "country psychedelic rock" is pretty unique. And my favorite band who plays it would be New Riders of the Purple Sage.
Also, whatever you could classify the Grateful Dead as... I guess it would be country/psychedelic/rock/blues/bluegrass/jazz.
Kraftwerk is pure electronica. They started it all.slightly insane futuristic alternative techno

Kraftwerk isn't alternative.
How weird they are depends.
Kraftwerk, Kraftwerk 2, and Radioactivity are the only albums that could even be considered weird.
But that's because they where imitating Karlheinz Stockhausen.
Which leads me to say that the weirdest stuff I listen to is various pieces of music by Karlheinz Stockhausen.
It's in between Music (it's organized sound) and simple noise.
Don't know what to classify it as.
What would Primus be considered?LegendaryscmtI've always called them a form of funk rock. Due in part of there bass lines.
Early Goregrind
No, I'm not kidding.
I just find it so hilarious, really. Quoting some early Carcass lyrics is one of my favorite ways to amuse myself.
I think the wierdest goregrind is C*ck and Ball Torture, or maybe C*mbeast. Anyways, I really like Melodic Death Metal (In Flames, The Black Dahlia Murder), Deathcore (Bring Me The Horizon, Job For A Cowboy), Grindcore (Cephalic Carnage), Trancecore (Enter Shikari), Electrocore/Nintendocore (HORSE The Band, Sky Eats Airplane)Early Goregrind
