Did you know that if you placed a new born child into an environment where they were exposed to people who interacted with them speaking different languages by the age of 2 the child would be able to recognize each one and would change the language they speak based on who they were interacting with? The reason for this is because they would have attained by this point the phonology and morphology and some syntax of the other languages allowing them to pick up on the certain phonemes and morphemes of the other languages.
