Katalepsy - E.N.D.
Wormed - Pulses in Rhombus Forms
Defeated Sanity - The Purging
(Last minute of this song is probably one of the heaviest things I've ever heard)
If I had to pick, probably something from Black Sbbath and the founders of the metal genre.
Heavier != more metal.
Metal is metal. There are no varying levels, only sub genres. Death Metal is no more metal than heavy metal. This topic is pretty stupid.
There aren't varying levels of metalness? I beg to differ. If you view Yngwie Malmsteem being just as metal as Terrance Hobbes, then I think you're just choosing to be naive to the nuances of what makes something metal.If I had to pick, probably something from Black Sbbath and the founders of the metal genre.

Either something is metal or something is not. There are no varying levels of metal-ness. Certain qualities of music and image are associated with metal. Some bands have more of these qualities than others. Therefore some bands can be more metal than others. Not very hard to understand the concept of the thread, is it?
Anyways, you're going to sit here and tell me that there no varying levels of metal? Why is that? Because it's not a tangible, measurable quantity? Neither is the concept of metal you're putting forth (hence arguments regarding bands being metal at all or not, not arguments about the varying levels) - so I don't see why it's just a black-and-white thing for you.

There are varying levels, but listening to more "extreme" types doesn't make one more a metalhead.

"Heavy metal" is not a subgenre of heavy metal. LordQuorthon

It's a mistake I've seen several people make. If that wasn't our intention, I apologize. There's no need to be a dick about it, however."Painkiller" the song is better than "Judas Rising." It has more energy, Travis' work on the drums is amazing, and the duelling solos are phenomenal (for 'Priest). Again, if you have a differing opinion, there's no need to be a dick.Âand if you're going to post anything from them, it should be this song.

Durr, hurr.
OMG, wtf is that? Who puts the treble and gain to 952000 and everything else to -11?InconsistancyAn unsigned band trying to self-produce an album to save money, that's who.
They get better at it. Proof. More proof.

Metal is defined by perversion of established norms. There is no such thing as "true metal". It is an attitude, not a specific style.Then the black metal nonsense he tried to pass off as "metal" was a perversion of a perversion.[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="OrkHammer007"] What you posted was a perversion of metal.OrkHammer007
Either way, it's shit.
