Think of them what you will, but the word "generic" doesn't exactly leap to mind when I think of those two bands.

Being Canadain i hold a special hatred for Nickelback, because of canadian broadcast rules you must play a certain amount of canadain content and that basically means when i drive to work/school 100% of the time there will be atleast one Nickelback song during that drive. Just out of curiousity how much radio play does Nickelback get in other countries?

I've found ~6 songs or so from either group is played so often you know it by heart, and it's usually the more annoying ones. if you check out, say, Revolver, or (most of) A Night at the Opera, you can find pretty unique songs there.

Because it's like having a Jack Russel terrier jumping up and down, having every post against rap agreed with and every post against rock as an attack against rap.
Probably Cannibal Corpse. I don't have anything against the band members, from what I read they sound like alright people I just can't stand the lyrics, song names and album names. I mean, I'm not a big fan of that style of music in the first place, but I really can't focus on the music with a song name like Meat Hook Sodomy.
