Nothing wrong with buying from an owner. As long as you know what to look for and are decently informed about vehicles.

Every car I've ever owned has come from an owner. Dealerships will be whatever they can to cover up problems in hopes of getting you to buy it. They also bank on people being excited to get the car and letting that excitement tune out any obvious problems.

Ford Focus? I was looking at those at first but then when I went back a few months later I found the Mazda and as a joke said "let me see the keys for that one" and I ended up with it :P

Now this is NOT my car. It is a picture I found on Google images because I don't want to go outside in the snow and take a picture

Now that's a car I could go for: as well as a Dodge Charger (425 hp Hemi) or the 300C (same engine).:P

Don't have one yet, but I'll be happy to have a corolla for my first ride. My family and many of my relatives have had corollas; so I guess it's tradition.

I currently drive a white 1993 Saturn SL. 85hp, weak I know. It does get 40+ mpg though, and it is really reliable for a car with 175k+ miles on it.

Looks like the one above, except it's white.

Well i bought mine just over a year ago for £800 (roughly $1300 usd) good little run around. Gets me to work and back. Only problem is its not big enough for my baby's push chair. Going to go for a Toyota Avensis or Mazda 6 soon i think :)

Yeah, it's a good car that's why I was looking at it. It was $3000 at the place I'm talking about but they had a "no credit no problem" thing going on and after all the financing was done it was $10000! He tried to sneak it by me too right when I was about to sign, I was reading the contract and I said "whoa wtf is this" and you know car salesmen "oh well don't worry about that it'll pay for itself"

Dang snow storms, someone slide right into the backend of my car, which was parked on the side of the house. Ugh...I have had this car for only 3 months, blew the clutch out a few weeks ago, replaced it, now this.

2008 Scion TC. It isn't fast, but looks nice. It only has 12k miles and no dents or scratches. I like to keep it nice. I haven't seen any other Scion with this color driving around either. Especially not one with the spoiler and this color. Oh and this isn't my car in the pic but it looks exactly like it. There is snow outside, can't take my own picture. :P

Imagine a tan 1995 Honda Accord with some scratches and dents here or there.duxup

This, except a year older, blue-green, and probably dirtier. 230,000 miles and still going strong, even after the five years of abuse I've put it through, what with it being my first car and all.
