Lost Horizon is the only power metal band I still continue to listen to, along with Iced Earth. Look Highlander (The One) my son. Do it now.

sorry, power metal all reminds me the "metal" from 80s, where men sounds like girls, and the guitars sound like...wailing girls.

Some bands that haven't been mentioned before:
Iron Savior: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxKbmTxYt-g
And the almightly ALESTORM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9-kkZTBDGk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aruE0VAKELg&feature=related
I freaking love those guys. Have been listening to them for a few days straight now. Just a word of advice - DO NOT watch their music videos. You'll be extremely disappointed by how lame they actually look (as opposed to how awesome they sound).
Also, while not exactly power metal, check out Apocalyptica. They have a really unique sound, you might like it.

First Dragonforce, then Iced Earth, Then Blind Guardian, then Demons and Wizards, then Lord, then X Japan, The Rhapsody of Fire. Now Stratovarius.
Care to add to this list? Post me POWER!

Helloween is (IMO) tue ultimate Power Metal band, they are so damn good, if you liked Stratovarius, you are going to love Helloween (at least that was my case, liked Strato a lot, but Helloween was in a whole different level).
The Dark Ride (Favorite Helloween Song, favorite Power Metal Song and one of my all time favorite songs)
Heavy Metal is the Law
Grapowski's Malsuite (Sick, sick, sick guitar)
Laudate Dominion
Mr. Torture
Power
Halloween
How Many Tears (Another amazing song and one of the best live performances by a Power Metal band)
And those are only the tip of the iceberg, this band is amazing, anyone who is a Power Metal fan (or a Metal fan in general) has to pass for this guys, sure, they have a lot of mediocre things, but at their best, they are, the best.
[QUOTE="dkdk999"]I love power metal and I've only heard of 2 of those bands. (dragonforce and rhapsody). Maybe I'll have to check those out. DmadFearmongerI stronly recommend from my others Blind Guardian and Sratovarius. Perfect power metal pretty good bands. And wow I'm like overloaded with awsome metal bands to listen to in this thread. Maybe I should contribute a few

I will probably get a little hate here, but i don't like the new Dark Moor, i prefer the old Dark Moor with the amazing Eliza C. Martin, in that time they made one of my all time favorite Power Metal Albums.
There are the good old Helloween (Listen to them until The Dark Ride, afterwards it's just banal stuff). Besides, if you're a Rhapsody fan, you need to call them Rhapsody not Rhapsody of Fire. Damn copyright.

Rabbit's Don't Come Easy and The Legacy were pretty meh, but i liked Gambling with the Devil, it had so much energy from beginning to end, haven't heard 7 Sinners, only a song, but i think it was good, gonna have to listen the whole album.

Tyranny of Steel, Megatropolis, Atlantis Falling are some good song by Iron Savior. They also did covers of Running Free by Iron Maiden and Phantoms of Death by Helloween that I really like.
HELL YA BRO. Dio RULES I got a poster of him with the members of black sabbath up in my roomIron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio. You can't go wrong with the classics.

Grow up kiddo. Music can be about whatever, and nobody said Rap/Hip Hop were lame. I sure don't think they are.. And I don't like power metal in general.
