for trolling.

yes that little inconsistency and annoyance we all msut deal with here, in-game, anywhere online youw ill find this (ahem barrens chat...)

yahoo(as in yahoo.com) has butted heads with scientists and found a way to reduce trolling and even eliminate it. this isnt a joke.. someone has found a way to prevent or at least reduce the risk of trolling to occur.

Gamespot had one long before this came out. "Report and Ignore" its called.

yes but you see now you can jsut "live and let live".. no accounts banned or suspended.. no more anger and trolling generated.

the act of trolling is a malicious thing.. it infects places..

this could effectively end trolling..

The only thing that stops trolls is moderation. And when I say "trolls" I'm talking about the ones who do it intentionally, not people who just get overly emotionally or are so stupid that end up offending other people. Also, not all trolling is obvious and would appear to be perfectly acceptable to the uninformed observer. For example, let's say there's a thread on Gamespot asking what some of the best games of all time are. If I wanted to troll I could come in and say something like "Bioshock (nothing like it had ever been done before), Doom (invented FPS), Goldeneye 007 (invented multiplayer), and of course MW2".

I think the moderations happening today on these forums will lower the trolling rate for a little bit. Maybe the moderators should hold public bannings, to better encourage people no to troll.

Yup.. IT's been a lot of those.. I've noticed they have they're thriller days occasionally and then disappear..
