This reminds me of that guy that wanted "under God" taken out of the Pladge of Allegiance because he and his daughter were Atheist... :?

Here's what I say:
A: If it is in fact a PUBLIC school, sue. Only if you're atheist and/or offended.

B: If it's a PRIVATE school, let 'em. They're allowed to by law, anyways.

Sueing won't solve a thing... the only thing suing will do is oppress those who do pray, even silently or where they are not a distraction to the learning environment.

Pray in the middle of class? Nah...

If anything, it has to be done in a way that's not distracting.

*Fixed :D I meant to add that in the first place :?

Actually, there's one school here in Tennessee that had parent-led/enforced prayer and that school got the hell sued outta them because they allowed the parent-led organization to exist as a school organization. It went to state Supreme Court, but I don't know what the turn-out was :(

well, considering the foundation of America was people looking for religious freedom, and the founding fathers and principles of our country were based off Christianity, I think they were more concerned with government intruding on their faith

quite the opposite nowadays:?

seanxixamx99
They did not want the government to have excessive entanglement with religion or endorsement of a religion or religions -- and not all of them were Christian, such as Thomas Jefferson. Note that the Establishment Clause says "respecting an establishment of religion", not "establishing a national religion."
How about they just pray on their own time? Seriously, I'm sick of religion in public places, glad I live in California where I don't have to deal with it.omgburgerking
Religion has a right to be in public places, though not in every case or every place.
