Hey so I pre-ordered the Halo 4 Xbox Bundle at my local gamestop. I live in New Jersey and the hurricane hit us pretty hard. Yesterday, I got a call saying that UPS didn't deliver any of the Halo's or any of the Xbox's so they canceled midnight release. They said that they might get it today at 12pm EST. I called at 2pm, and they didn't have anything in stock for me.

If I don't get it by say tomorow or the next day, can I ask for compensation? Is there a first-day preorder guarantee?

Compensation? Just get your money back and go get the game at Walmart.

I had to pay a $50 deposit (I bought the $350 console bundle). I thought they hold on to the deposit no matter what.

In the case of natural disaster, almost every guarantee is waived when it's in regards to shipping of something. It's not the game company's fault or UPS's fault that there was a hurricane. All the post offices in my area (west coast) have notices up saying that in the wake of the hurricane, deliveries to that area or nearby will likely be delayed and no guarantees are being made. Sorry, sucks, but all you can really ask for is your money back. If you just got hit 'pretty hard' by a hurricane, I think there are far better things for you to be concerned about than f-ing halo, is there not?

I'm not too familiar with American law but pretty sure they can get under a contract if the cause was highly "out of their hands". Which is easily proven with a f*cking hurricane.

You'd be surprised. Thee are gonna be people playing Halo instead of watching election coverage all night.

I'd pick Halo over election coverage because even if I was American and could vote, once I'd done that there's really not much more for me to do and I'd find out the results as soon as they happen anyway, the internet is going to just explode as soon as the news is released. But if my house was flooded or ripped apart or something, I would be a little more concerned with THAT than halo.

lmfao well I live more inland in New Jersey so the worst thing that my town got was power outages for a few days. No flooding or anything. The whole district is fine now... If I lived on the Jersey Shore THEN that would be a different story...

Everyone should

Could you please explain what the point is in watching anything but the final outcome?
