My hopes for Obama this time round is that he can get the EU to stop committing economic suicide with austerity measures, but that's a bit much of a stretch considering that Germany has way more control than the U.S. does over the E.U.. I expect that Obama having much more leverage over the G.O.P. now will get him to pass better stimulus/employment bills so as to get the U.S. economy back into shape and off life support, or at least make sure that the world doesn't get screwed so much if the E.U.'s fiscal insanity causes another global recession.

Unless you mean that in the negative way, in which case I would like to point that hoping for no good reason that a president does something so utterly ruinous and horrible that he sets the world against him isn't the most healthy way to think.
