Most of the criticism leveled at Bush Jr. was somewhat deserved. Bush was in the White House when the most deadly foreign attack on American soil was committed. Bush went to two wars without any tax increases to pay for them...in fact they reduced taxes. Those same tax cuts, combined with significantly reduced tax revenues from the Recession, largely contributed to the terrible budget deficits we're running today. There were hoards of Financial industry deregulation that contributed to the "Great Recession" that were enacted under his presidency. Bush signed Executive Orders that permitted U.S. intelligence agencies to monitor U.S. citizens without warrants. I could go on if I were so inclined.

The worst people can really say about Obama's administration is that they don't like his fiscal policies.

Honestly Obama is no more disrespected than other presidents. Anyway I'm not sure what you think he has done right. His campaign promised big things but we got more of the same really. He just hasn't stood out as doing anything positive. His health care is a mess....and it's going to raise rates for people that already had health care. How does that help? And the fine for not having health care is minor so it's not going to induce people that didn't want to buy it in the first place to make the purchase. It's also not an inexpensive plan. The economy is a mess. We're still stuck in Afghanistan. His administration is more divisive than I recall.

I'm no expert on this as u will find out when u read this, but Obama was given a difficult job at a difficult time he was basically left with a massive mess to clean up after bushes 8 years, and of course the fact that he is black is gna cause the racist twunts to come out the wood work, also the fact that he's black means opposition and the powers that be the media don't want to see him succeed, how bad will it look if a black president does a better job than a white president, so they make his job even harder by being difficult. At the end of the day you can't please all the people all of the time. I would love to see the ideas of those that criticise Obama, would love to here how you would solve the problems Obama was left with. Please enlighten me, what has been fundamentally transformed? This idea that either the democratic or republican party could ever possibly be vehicles for fundamental change is absurd - they just represent two competing factions of the same (business) party that has had an iron grip over American politics since at least WWII. And here you are buying into the facade that the democratic-republican paradigm encompasses the entire spectrum of political thought in this country, as if things would be any different if Republicans win in November. Democrats and Republicans are never really competing against each other in national elections - no one ever really "loses" - they're part of the same cartel, funded by the same industries. The only reason why they act as if they're competing against one another is to give the appearance that there is actual political discourse going on in this country - that there is actually democracy going on, when in reality it's the same business class that wins year in and year out. To its credit its a more sophisticated system of propaganda than say, North Korea, where Dear Leader wins every election with 100% of the vote, but effectively it achieves the same result.
