Just to clarify, this is not related to the fake McMahon death storyline, this is real, as it involves his family being dead as well.
The bizarre thing is that he was scheduled to be at Vengeance last night, but was replaced by Johnny Nitro, another wrestler. JR said he had to ruch home for a family emergency. And now he and his family were found dead at their home?
Right now I'm dumbfounded.
Hmmm...one less body builder who wears thongs and pretends to fight because he can't do anything that might benefit society...sounds more like a good day.Thyeora
Wow, you're sick. Only an idiot would speak of that of which he does not know.
Benoit was classy from the get go. He was the kind of guy who put wrestlers over all the time to help their careers. Most recenelty he took MVP under his wing.
I think the fact that it's only being said on WWE.com and the fact that people get killed in Wrestling all the time, not to mention a lack of story.
Should be obvious, really.

Dude it's acting. He did it because he was paid to.

So he deserves to die for making a living?

No proof he's dead yet, except the website for a huge Soap Opera claiming he is.[QUOTE="Thyeora"][QUOTE="-Despacio-"][QUOTE="Thyeora"]Hmmm...one less body builder who wears thongs and pretends to fight because he can't do anything that might benefit society...sounds more like a good day.Shrapnel99

He doesn't deserve to die. It's just not much of a loss.

This is shocking...really, really shocking.
But, it is only on WWE.com right now. WWE is stupid enough to create storylines involving death. I don't know, WWE has confused me now. I want to see the headline, "Chris Benoit dead" on my local news station first.
If he really, truly is dead, then WWE must be feeling something in their concience right now. They just created this dumb storyline in which Vince McMahon dies, and now someone really does die. I hope they end the storyline.
What? Any link OUTSIDE wwe? I see nothing CNN.GettingTired
I would hope they would be busy with news on the war and stuff like that....
I think the thing skeptics are forgetting is that the WWE doesn't involve family members in these "death" storylines, and they do these dedication shows for the real deaths like Eddie Guerero.LostProphetFLCL
Great point, the inclusion of his family is what confirms this as real to me. It would be below even Vince McMahon to include Benoits family in a death storyline.
Not to mention they had a McMahon Tribute Show lined up all week with guest stars for a 3-hour Raw tonight. That's officially been scrapped for a Benoit tribute tonight. You don't waste advertising dollars like that to scrap it last minute.
First Sensational Sherri's death last week, now Benoit. Why do those in the business keep dying so young. The day I wake up to hear Bret hart has passed on will leave me cold for a month.
R.I.P Chris Benoit

Well, I think the WWE lifestyle takes a toll on them.
After all, drug use is pretty rampant in the WWE, not to mention all the training and matches which destroy their bodies.....

In all seriousness, many of Benoit's matches could be considered great works of art. The man will go down as one of the greatest in-ring performers in wrestling history. I seriously doubt that you will have that kind of impact on whatever occupation you are in/will enter.
this isn't going to be some stupid storyline is it?
though I did check wikipedia and it does list a date of death, unlike McMahon
trmather
Using the WWE as a source...
It's not been on any credible news source yet....LJS9502_basic
Reputable pro wrestling news sites(such as PWTorch) have been reporting this as real, and NOT a storyline. I know some people here will blow that off, but they're just about always correct(except for when speculating on rumors and whatnot). This is real. I don't even remember somewhere like CNN reporting anything on Eddie Guerrero's death a couple years ago, but I could've missed it.
RIP Benoit

A whole celebrities family being murdered would show up on CNN.
