I guess so. Iraq should be left as it is. I'm pretty sure they don't want help, so why bother.

We have to finish what we started

It would be just ****ed up if we went there, destoyed half their country and just leave because it was gonna be tougher then we though it would be.

You started this, you can't simply leave it in a mess, since you're the ones who trashed it in the first place. Finish fixing up the country, don't just leave it to collapse.

We need to get out of this unpopular and useless war, we've already installed a democratic goverment and helped Iraq develop a strong military capable of sustaining itself, so there isn't any reason for us to remain. If anything, our continued presence there is not only helping terrorists recruit with us creating more hatred towards the U.S. and the entire western world.

nay, but not for any neo-con "get the job done" reason.

If all U.S. support is pulled out, there's a pretty good chance the country basically collapse into widespread guerilla warfare leading to civil war. Most people I talk to in favour of complete withdrawl say that yes it will collapse, but they should do it anyways because they shouldn't have been there in the first place. They ALL agree the current iraqi force is by no means effective enough.

Nay, becuase even though the Iraq war is horrible and stupid idea, if we pull out it will be a disaster. Not pulling out is probably the only right thing Bush has done in office. I do applaud his ability to do a fair job at pulling the **** out that he managed to push so far up America's ass.

Um, yeah, because Iraq matters that much, and in any event, but say it does, it's still horrible to put money above human lives like that. How shameless a justification. And why would Worl War III happen because of that? It's not even logical.

I don't know anymore.  I used to be against a pull out because I thought it would leave the region very unstable and such, but now I'm not certain what would be best.

Iraq has a large amount of the worlds Oil reserves. If it descends into civil war, a large spike in oil prices will result, and then neighboring nations would try to seize control of the situation, in other words, invade Iraq. This would cause another spike in oil prices. Therefore, the high rise of the price of crude oil would compromise the worlds economy, and therefore will spark tensions among the developed industrialized nations of the world, which can eventually lead to a major confrontation between developed nations

Aside from that Iraq does not have that much of the world's oil supply and that no country would invade Iraq to keep it exporting its oil (hint: this decreases exports, it doesn't increase them, like with what happened with us invading them), yeah, right on.

Yeah, and they're morons, and not very common, and how in the hell does Iraq help our cause? By making them like us more? Iraq is detrimental to the US in the grand scheme of things in every way. And the terrorists in Iraq are out to get other Iraqis for the most part, not the US. If they were trying and there were as many as you seem to believe there are, there's no way they wouldn't've been successful again by now.

Yes, but not abruptly. It needs to be done very slowly and after some kind of peace has been established between the Sunni's and Shiate's, otherwise there will be civil war and theyll just have to come right back.

Go for that. It still doesn't export most of that and simply does not give out much oil in comparison to other countries, and certainly does not constitute eight per cent of all petroleum produced in the world.

the only reasons for that are 1: prior to the invasion, the UN placed sanctions on Iraq 2: the war of cource. If we pull out, it wont export any cuz of a civil war
