I prefer the coen brothers by far.

Oooof thats a tough, tough call.
For pure entertainment, Tarantino
For mental stimulation, Coen brothers. Burn After Reading really really tipped me more in their favor though.
BOTH. QT is pretty violent though. but who doesnt like violence? His screenplays are awesome too some of the most random stuff ever.
"did you just order a 5 dollar shake?"
"I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them something a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds. As far as I'm concerned, they're just doing their job."
"I don't need you to tell me how fuc**** good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys SH**. I buy the gourmet expensive stuff because when I drink it I want to taste it".
Tarantino by far has the most entertaining movies. I thought burn after reading was pretty stupid. It seemed like a snobby person's seth rogan movie. Man, was that actress butt-ugly too...wrfade82
A snobby seth rogan movie? What does that even mean? I think im one of the few who loved Burn After Reading, the idea of it was so ridiculous but the actors executed it perfectly. I love how the whole thing was pretty much about the main girl wanting surgery. She may not be a looker, but Frances Mcdormand is a fantastic actress.
QT by far, I don't like really any of the Coen movies. No country was ok but I guess I didn't like where it ended although being the most likely outcome. Didn't like Fargo and Burn was ok but nothing spectacular.
Whereas Resovoir dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Kill Bill are some of my favorite movies.

Yea, I loved that movie
my favorite character was the CIA director, forgot the actor's name but he is really funny and always takes minor roles.
Anyway, he was one of the few characters who was actually grounded and his response to all the different situations was hilarious.
anyway, i think its an underrated movie. It was nice seeing Brad Pitt play a total flake, tbh

I actually think he's talking about J.K. Simmons. The CIA supervisor.Burn After Reading disappointed me to be honest, the actors nailed their roles, and some of the humor was great but I had myself amped up to see the movie and it was a let down, good movie but I was expecting too much of it.
EDIT: Beat to the punch.

J.K Simmons is fantastic. His role as Vern Schillinger in Oz has made me see him in a completely different light though.[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]

I LOVE Raising Arizona, The Ladykillers, Big Lebowski, No Country For Old Men, Burn After Reading, and one of my favorite movie of all time: O, Brother Where Art Thou?
-----------------------------------------
Quentin Tarantino is the MASTER of memorable dialog/characters
Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, True Romance(he wrote that), and Reservoir Dogs are all on the top shelf of my DVD tower(where all my favs are)
BUT I'd have to go with the Coen Brothers for story and Quentin for style. (I voted Coen Bros., but love 'em both equally)
Quentin Tarantino is better in my opinion. He has made several movies that I love, while the Coen Brothers have only made one that I absolutely loved and that's The Big Lebowski.
Tough call for me. I like films made by both parties a lot. I have to go with Tarantino just by a slight nod, because I like his sense of humor more.
Well, the only movie I've seen by the Coen Brothers was No Country for Old Men, and that was an absolutely horrible movie. On the other hand, Tarantino has made Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, which were both fantastic, so I'll go with Tarantino.

You should see Fargo, Miller's crossing, Raising Arizona, O Brother where art thou, and Barton Fink. Why didnt you like No Country for old men? I like tarantino, but he tends to go for styl e over substance.

I didn't like No Country for Old Men because nothing really happened. Man finds case of money, other man wants money, man runs away while the other man chases him, then a car accident ends the movie. For the life of me, I can't think of one good thing to say about the movie...
I've seen bits and pieces of O Brother Where Art Thou. I'll look into the others.
