What do you think of Canada? I'm just curious, because some Americans still think it snows here all year round.

I'm sure some folks don't know squat, but I also wouldn't take nationalistic flack online too seriously.duxupoh I don't, it just boggles my mind that people who live in the states (even New York, same weather) think that it always snows here...
haha Toronto is dirrrrtyI imagine it to be very wild, untamed and beautiful...except in the cities, of course.

Canadian women are extremely hot, weather can be extremely cold and has great places and seems an extremely clean country. Isnt that extreme?curonoIve been told its the pancakes and maple syrop.
What I know about Canada comes from watching Degrassi...Agent-ZeroEveryone has silly names and wears acid washed jeans? Thats fairly accurate.

No offense, but in America, many of us think you guys are wussies, and liberals. But we would like more of our liberals to move to your country.
[QUOTE="Crimsader"]Which band are you talking about?Well I'm from Europe and I like Canada actually. I speak it's two official languages and... I'm looking forward to moving up in there :) Nice country. And plus my favourite band is Canadian :P

On the converse, when I lived in Cornwall, Ontario, people didn't believe me when I told them that most people from my native Tennessee aren't hillbillies.
But as far as my experience of Canada: Rednecks, loyalist and wannabe-Frenchmen. Of course, I didn't much leave the Ottawa Valley but there you go.
It's fine by me. I've only been to Manitoba, though, but I really liked it there. I don't think I'd ever move to Canada, but I don't have anything against it either. I wouldn't mind seeing more of it, actually.
I can understand people thinking that it snows all the time. :P I live in North Dakota, so I'm pretty used to jokes and ignorance.
I would like to visit. It seems like an interesting place, plus I have family there so they could show me around.
Oh wow, I didn't know that you guys got internet in your igloos!xaosI'll admit, we do have difficulty there. It's best when high pressure movements come through because the snow really mangles our connection quality. However, we never have to worry about our computers overheating. If it's getting too toasty that it's melting the igloo, we just take out a brick and let the chilly -40C winds in to bring it back to a reasonable temperature.
Most people I know forget that Canada exist. No one really knows what Canada is, people think that Canada isnt really a country and that its un-populated. I have never heard anything about Canada. Iike world history and learning about other countries and cultures, but I know nothing about Canada. Canada just seems boring and uninteresting. Oh wait! Like a week ago I learned that Canada has an army, who know?RTUUMMWe invented a lot of things up here! Like air-conditioned trains, to better simulate our frosty-cold temperatures here, eh? We also invented the electric car, I believe. Mostly because those gas-fueled engines melt our igloo garages, which takes a while to build back up. Also, the snowplow, snowmobile, snowblower, and Insulin, eh? Now you know! :D

When I was a baby in Anchorage, moose would come into our backyard and knock over the trash cans rummaging for yum-yums.This:

This thread reminded me of that article

"The Canadian accent is actually much milder than most Americans imagine, and many Canadians live and work amongst Americans undetected, constantly gathering hair samples"
Priceless :P
