Fun Fact:

Since people like poking fun at the Canadian forces, some of you may be surprised to learn that all Canadian army regular forces have the same level of training as American army special forces, such as thatof an Army Ranger.

Who woulda thunk it!

I think of Canada as one of those nice, loving countries. I get the impression that I could walk up to any Canadian and hug them, and they won't find it strange. But I guess it's because we never hear anything bad about Canada.

I live about 45 minutes from Kelowna. it's a pretty great place but basically the only large city in the area till you head to the mainland.

This:

Moose

+

Snow

+ this:

Hockey

= Canada. :P

LZ71

I love moose :) but where I am from in Canada (southern ontario) has no moose, which sucks because they are amazing animals.

But it still is somewhat cold and it snows a fair bit here.

Everyone besides me plays hockey thou.

Yea, this area is beautiful in the summer, but when winter comes, well it's still pretty but best observed from indoors.

I like Canadian but I just don't think there's much to do there... I don't like to hunt or fish. And I live in Minnesota, so we're as close to Canadians as Americans get.

I am Canadian, I use to play hockey...but then I got bored of it. Oh by the way I know I'm adopted, been adopted twice. Thanks for telling me something I already knew.

I would never say that. My situation demands I plead ignorance and unable to comment on your original question. If this is all I know of Canadians then obviously I am in need of an education. I'm just outlining my insufficient parameters of knowledge and experience.

It's all you need to know, TPB is the closest to Canadian that you can get, we're all like that, ha ha. Also, fun fact, the original trailer park the Trailer Park Boys was filmed in is a 5 min drive down the road from my house, I drive by it everyday almost.

DOES YA LIVE IN IGLOOS AND RIDEZ TEH POLA BEARS!? I'm kidding. I've been an American living in Canada for a couple years now, and it seems that you are a little lost for identity. Other than that, Canadians in general are like Americans in general: neo-patriotic and good at bashing everybody else.

Yes, because soggy french fries smothered in half a pound of gravy and cheese isn't disgusting.

Well I don't know where you're getting your poutine from, but mine are crispy and completely awesome. I've never met anyone that hasn't liked poutine..

What do you think of Canada? I'm just curious, because some Americans still think it snows here all year round.x3ni1992

Ok, but you asked for it :)

I know you guys have Thanksgiving on a different day. Instead of Turkey, you eat from a big communal pile of Kraft Dinner, and then gorge yourselves on twice your weight in donuts.

It is on this occasion that the women shave their legs, but not before taking part in a competition for the hairiest and manliest. Despite the fact that 98% of Canadian women take part in this competition each year, Celine Dion usually wins -- beating out both Brian Adams and Corey Hart for the coveted prize.

Eh, I'm just kidding (hope that was obvious). I am fond of Canada, and most Canadians I've met are nice people. I have to admit I am not a fan of socialized medicine, so that's not one of my favorite things about your culture, but that's more likely to be a commonality between us than a difference here pretty soon. Also, any country that can make something as genuinely funny as "Trailer Park Boys" has to be good at its core.

I heart Canada. Especially the West Edmonton Mall (aka the biggest mall in the world). Unless this has changed. It was at least 8 years ago.

Shiggums

What would make it boring? We have sunshine too, its not a huge boring country. Go to Toronto and see the CN tower, go to the bay of fundy, the rockies, the wilderness and the better side of Niagara falls. Is it considered boring because terrible shows like 90210 and The hills arent filmed here? :P

But most of these hockey playing canadians, havent even seen a moose. The only "canadian" thing they do is play hockey and go to Tim Hortons. I go to Tim Hortons, I have seen a moose, I can take the cold, I say eh and I admit I do say Sorry alot, and I do enjoy watching Ice hockey and Playing street hockey. Most of these "hockey playing canadians" in my eyes act like americans, but claim to be Canadian and do canadian things because they pay 5000 dollars a year to play hockey. Nevermind most of them never pick up a book.

So yes, i do actually do more Canadian things than them. My ancestors were loyalists, THATS CANADIAN!

Well, you're the 2nd largest country on this planet Earth.

And if Russia keeps on shrinking, then soon you will be first!

As long as you keep Quebec!
