Who cares? Stop trashing the planet.SolidSnake35Pretty much this.. The majority of solutions that have been put forward hold far more advantages then impact on climate change.. It is in every ones interest to get off of fossil fuels for instance.. I am baffled at the open hostility in the US against organizations like the EPA which ensure things like our drinking water is safe.. Yet it is attacked on all ends and one whole party is attempting to dismantle.. I mean can people be this fvcking stupid? Or do they seriously believe the bullsh!t that the "private market will police it self" in which in the 1960s we had major rivers catch fire.. Or what corporations are doing to countries like India with lax to no environmental laws..
That short one is good. People are too far down the rabbit hole to accept it though. PPl make CO2 out to be the most dangerous thing ever and so evilThe truth of "Glabal warming"

So climate change is real and has a human component to it, regardless of how you spin it. People are skeptical and bitch because they feel their lives are going to be adversely affected.
So you use less energy, and hope that we can find renewable resoources, which is a good idea regardless of climate change.
Of course, we'll fix this problem and cause another one, and then the same people will be older and bitch and moan all the more.
I think the best thing to do is to ignore these threads and live with the happiness that you are superior to these people in your willingness to engage on good faith. So climate change is real and has a human component to it, regardless of how you spin it. I can totally see some people in 50 years saying things like "We didn't have these problems when we used gasoline". Regardless of whether that is true or not. Some people just do that.So climate change is real and has a human component to it, regardless of how you spin it. People are skeptical and bitch because they feel their lives are going to be adversely affected.

Are you stupid?Even If I give you all that- FINE. Its changing. Please answer these two questions. 1. Why should I change my life when 10 other people around the globe arent changing theirs? Its not only the US that is pumping the environment. China pollutes huge and so does india, and thats not even considering the impact of developing and industrializing contries increased CO2/pollutant output. I'm unwilling to put money towards green energy just to make a statement.
2. Why not wait for natural events to lower earths temperature? like natural ocean circulation patterns.
AdamPA1006
Maybe because those are third world countries that are in the process of industrialization while the U.S. is rich and has industrialized fully.
I repeat. Are you stupid?

Climate change is not real its just a hoax, nothing to do with humans, just Earths natural cycle.
This is so goddamn stupid. Why are people getting lynched for being careful about protecting the environment, even if they are wrong? Since when is that a bad thing?percech

even if the huge amount of science behind it are wrong, the policis proposed are not bad..for the most part.
I live in a "green" part of the world, and i don't see how charging me 25c for a plastic bag, or and extra 3 dollars on domestic flights makes shit more enviromentally friendly, but the vast majority of green investments are very good policies, that hopefully will curb the increasing amount of floods and fires. One things for sure, it will not be for nothing.

Only 35% think global warming is a serious issue.
And 64 percent of Americans don't view global warming as a threat.
And all of those polls were taken before we learned the IPCC's past predictions were way off by overestimating climate sensitivity.

Boy you're dense. Â Public opinion is meaningless to the validity of global warming. Â The majority of the public could believe that the Sun revolves around the Earth, but does that make it true? Â
And I love it how the IPCC report you claimed would devastate the scientific community declared that with a 95% certainty rate that man is driving the current warming trend. Â
You're beyond delusional Hokie. Â Its not even funny anymore.Â

It's called science. When your predictions are way off because your calculation overestimated a variable then there is obviously something wrong with the model. In the IPCC's case that error is climate sensitivity and CO2 impact. And that's a fact.Man-made global warming...one of the biggest scams in human history. KC_Hokie

But by that very same logic Gore, and the entire green technology is a drop in the bucket compared to the fossil fuel industries which are hellbent on keeping the current situation profitable to them..

After this latest IPCC report finally acknowledges what I saw for years (low climate sensitivity, way overestimated CO2 impact) I would call anyone who claims human drive the climate a 'flat-earther'. The models, the reality doesn't match the human-caused climate rhetoric.

 That doesn't even make fvcking sense because the poor countries are the GREATEST offenders of environmental violations.. The fact of the matter is you make this out to be some scam or conspiracy? By who? Poor countries? Socialists? Green energy companies? Man you just narrowed down really WEAK political and economic groups there, and yet you some how think they are the ones that are overpowering the trillion dollar fossil fuels industry.. That's the whole point. Wealth redistribution to the poor 'dirty' countries with caps/credits from the wealthy 'green' ones.Think you need to look up what the global carbon credit goals are.

Thanks for sharing this video. I want to know what some of the reactions here to it are.In the 70's it was "global cooling"
In the 90's it was "global warming"
In the 2000's it became "climate change" so that no matter what happens, environmentalists can blame it on plastic bottles.
