Yep, seems that all areas of California is having constant rain attack. It has been raining in Nothern California for a couple of days now, almost non-stop in some areas. The sun finally came out for about 2 hrs today, but it's now gone. I am sure more shall fall upon us.
Now if only you'd be so kind as to allow that rain to float over East to New Mexico and I'd love you guys :D.Yagr_Zerodid la mean louisiana or los angeles?

In LA the state it rains hard every other damn day
I agree bout the rain. I have the video to prove it! :P Although I do find it funny how the news media goes berserk over some rain. This is nothing compared to some other rain storms I have witness...nothing!GallegoIt's all relative to what you're used to. The rain in LA might not be much compared with other parts of the country, but it's more than they can handle.
I'm in orange county. the rain blows, but we desperately needed water. Also, how often does it rain for longer than one day? so it's not that big of a deal
i don't think its a monsoon, just a couple decent sized storms have hit us over the past couple days
I'm in Ontario, its pretty bad here too atm, been pouring seemingly all day. Some streets are pretty flooded atm, though not nearly as bad as some places are. We arent getting "flooding" in the sense of its not flooding our houses or anything.
I usually love the rain but this is a bit much.
I've lived here my whole life...and it if rains for more than 1 day people think the world is going to end...Anyone here from L.A.? , I'm starting to hate this weather now man.

Ya some cities in Orange County and Long Beach had one yesterday. Luckily not in my part of Orange County :P. But the rain is starting to get a bit annoying. Just not used to it this much in Southern California, can't handle it haha.
San Francisco had about 8 hours without rain yesterday and then last night sprinkling and then the storm. No real breaks of rain since then.
That reminds me, wasn't there a short film in the 80s about it constantly raining? I recall it being about a young girl walking around in a rain coat and she couldn't play outdoors because it rained. I want to say she lived in an orphanage or maybe a private boarding school. She was sad because the flowers wouldn't grow.
I have wondered what this movie was called because I saw it when I was a little girl. Anyone have an idea what film I am talkng about?
Yes, I now feel like that little girl who wants the sun to come back out. :P

Kind of reminds me of the Ray Bradbury short story 'the Long Rain'

But yours is probably closer to this;

Living close to LA I can tell you I actually enjoy this rain and wished we had more. The sound of it helps me sleep, its kinda soothing.
If you live in LA you should be thrilled every time it rains. You live in a freaking desert, water is one the most valuable resources in your case.
