Lil wayne? Are you serious? There are quite a few better rappers out there that don't even have main stream lables. I think I could pull someone from down the street that could rap better than lil wayne.
Eww JayZ is horrible in my opinon and lil wayne only talks about naked women and drugs and sex so he is know where near the best.i would rather listen to Kid Cudi or Lupe Fiasco people who are actually SMART with their lyrics and dont degrade women.
Nether alot of rappers suck, but I would like to be one instead of being a neighbor and having a job. I could just have ladies or "hoes" with me and be makign money. But I guess Soulja boy or something, don't get me wrong I listen to rap but sometimes when it's compared to rock and roll. It's like trash and stupid music which people say rhymes and stupid things that make no sense.
Lil' Wayne is very good at metaphors and punchlines, but Jay-Z beats him on that. Eminem, however, is unmatched when it comes to combination of multis, lyrical content, flow, and storytelling.
I will agree neither are close (especially the latter), but The Marshall Mathers LP was very great. Anyway, best rapper alive.... Rakim, perhaps.... GFK is good too when he's really on like he was with Fishscale or Supreme Clientele. And to whoever said, Dr. Dre, you must be joking. Great producer, but clumsy rapper.

Slick Rick is great but the best thing he's done in like 5 years was a guest spot on a Mos Def CD. Chuck D isn't what he used to be and MC Hammer is a joke.
