Because the people dealing out the punishment don't see thm as people. They see them as monsters. This is basic stuff. People have a moral code, with the understanding that any person would agree with such a code. That moral code gets broken, and the logical consequence is that the perpetrator is not really human. Being inhuman (or subhuman, or non-human), that perpetrator is now no longer entitled to the rights of humans (such as, "not getting tortured"). The funny thing is, that perpetrator (assuming he's actually guilty, which he may not be) likely only committed his initial crime in the first place based on the same reasoning ("this isn't a woman, she's a witch. She's got what's coming to her.")

in line with this thread, anyone who is a suspect of any crime, misdemeanor or felony should be immediately killed, cremated and his ashes sent to the nearest black hole. the whole judicial system of judges, fair trials and prisons is a burden and should be disposed.
Sad but nothing new here. Didn't they burn suspected witches before and hung people off trees. More common today is "suicide by cop", that's when authorities confronts a suspect then supposedly the suspect puts the officerssss lives in danger maybe by holding a fire arm or something as small as a knife then the officerssss shoot to kill the suspect.
