Not a huge fan. I like their older stuff more. Guy's voice just doesn't do it for me. Kinda cheesy in the same vain as Avenged Sevenfold.
I agree, their first 2 albums are ALLOT better, IMO. But, I like his voice. When I think of TDG, I think of Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, Red, and Seether. Standard 'cheesy' rock, for lack of a better term. Used to like it but I don't anymore. Red is my favorite 'cheesy' rock band. :PNot a huge fan. I like their older stuff more. No one compares to them in my mind. I'm just not into those bands anymore like I was in HS... Never heard them before.
[QUOTE="chilly-chill"] Jim Carrey sung their song "jumper" better then they did in the movie Yes Man lolbattlefront23Blasphemy!
Jim Carrey (Yes Man) Jumper.

Just out of curiosity, when did "generic" equal a zero on ten rating? Generic would seem to imply "average" to me, like a 4-6 rating.
A zero would only seem warrented for a band that has absolutly no musical qualities whatsoever (ie. random noise).

Music is about creativity. they have no creativity 0/10Since when? Bob Dylan wasn't particularly creative (Average vocals, fairly basic instrument playing and profound, yet largely unoriginal, lyics) yet he is one of the greatest musicians of all time. Hell, look at the song "Imagine" by the Beatles, there is absolutely nothing original or creative about that song but it is still an amazing song. Creativity can be a positive, but it is not the defining factor in what is considered "good" music.
Imagine is a sh*t song. And it was by someone who used to be a Beatle, not The Beatles.Since when? No, it isn't the only factor. But complete lack of creativity makes for a sh**y band. Bob Dylan was a superior lyricist, which set him apart. My brother played one of their songs for me one day and all I could think was average faux metal/post grunge band, could see myself skipping over it on the radio and not lookig back. So from the very little I heard, meh/10.

Their music has little dynamics yes, but you might be getting the fatigue from the "loudness war."

Fit's him well.6.5/10? I haven't listened to all of their stuff, but what I have is good, not always quite my style of music though, and sometimes it seems a little repetitive.
LOL, "I don't like it, = bad Artist"[QUOTE="codymcclain14"][QUOTE="Inconsistancy"] It's not that it's mainstream, it's that it's bad. theone86
Uh, no. THeir lyrics are angsty and unimaginative, they use simple chords and don't even show much technical proficiency in doing so, they use the same keys and scales over and over, they rely on distortion to cover up their flaws, and their songs all sound the same. They suck, end of story.
