What?
The Dark Side of the Moon was an immediate success, topping the Billboard 200 for one week. It subsequently remained in the charts for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988, longer than any other album in history. With an estimated 45million copies sold, it is Pink Floyd's most commercially successful album and one of the best-selling albums worldwide. It has twice been remastered and re-released, and has been covered by several other acts. It spawned two singles, "Money" and "Us and Them". In addition to its commercial success, The Dark Side of the Moon is one of Pink Floyd's most popular albums among fans and critics, and is frequently ranked as one of the greatest rock albums of all time.
Floyd will always be epic/10 to me. Gilmour makes a lead guitar sing.:)
I like it, I just appreciate some of their other albums upto the same level as DSOTM, if not higher on my list.
Im the same way, DSOTM is actually not in my top 5 favorite PF albums. Mine goes 5. Meddle 4. Animals 3. Piper at the Gates of Dawn 2. Wish You Were Here 1. The Wall The Wall is actually my all time favorite album, I memorized the whole album by heart. I cant wait to see Roger Waters preform it in October!!! :D[QUOTE="DarkGamer007"]

I agree with you on on the stuff previous DSOTM, and I also agree on post-The Wall.

Obscured by Clouds is one of their most underated albums next to Atom Heart Mother, no one talks about Obscured by Clouds but it is so beautiful.
I haven't really given that album a chance (probably because of all their other post the wall albums), but I'll check it out again.
Obscured by Clouds was in 1972 :?[QUOTE="taj7575"][QUOTE="topsemag55"]

1. Wish you were here
2. Meddle
3. The Wall
4. Obscured by clouds
5. Atom Heart Mother
Pink Floyd is my personal favorite band.
The Barrett days were some of the most glorious times for music.
love them
DSOTM is prob their best album, even if On The Run and Any Colour You Like are boring as ****.
o this is old
I dislike them but I think that has more to do with me not liking the genre in general and nothing to do with them being subpar.
I enjoy listening to them every once in a while. Also, "Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict" is the best song title ever. I give them a 3.14159265/4.
Really, though, they should have split up after Waters left the band. "Momentary Lapse of Reason" sacrificed far too much of their soul for me to take them seriously from that point on.
Hey, this is a bumped thread, can't believe nobody noticed...I posted in it 14 and a half months ago.:lol:topsemag55
So did I and that is why I didn't post in it again until now.
